- Cfarley1Bracebridge, Canada212 contributionsChristmas All Year Long! This was my first time visiting Santa's Village and I really didn't know what to expect! I was surprised and impressed! Our group had a three and a half year old, an almost three year old and a two year old. There were lots of rides that were great for them, the line-ups were not to long (we never waited longer than 3 rides), there was lots of shade, the park was clean and well maintained and the Splash Pad was great! All of the staff we encountered were fantastic! Over and above helpful, very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there! We stayed about three hours and there was still plenty we had not done yet, we could have easily stayed all day if it wasn't for nap time! We will return for sure! A couple of notes - The restaurants are extremely busy with 40+ minute wait times. If you have enough adults in your group you may want one person go to buy/wait for lunch while the others occupy the kiddos on rides. There is also a picnic area outside the main park, you may want to pack a lunch to enjoy in the picnic area to avoid the long wait. There are Events advertised at the park, on their website and on social media. Other than the name of the event and the date it is IMPOSSIBLE to find any additional information about the events, what they involve and whether they are worth planning a trip for that day or not. It would be nice to be able to find information about these events.Visited July 2023Written July 26, 2023
- Fra04Canada23 contributionsGreat atmosphereTravelled with 3 kids. Two 4 year olds and one 2 year old. Rides were great for the kids at this age however if a bit older and more of a thrill seeker they may be bored. Good variety of activities between elf school, animals, rides, Santa, splash pad, boat ride to easily fill the day. The park was well maintained and very clean. We visited on a Monday and were surprised by some longer lines. Elf school was great but a long wait if you get there just after a class starts. The only negative was the food. A lot of places were closed and we waited 20 mins for ice cream to get to the front and had very limited selection. Would highly recommend for families with young children however would make sure to pack your own snacks and lunch.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten July 31, 2023

So that’s all that matters really. However, I think the $50 per person (no child discount) is steep. The rides are short and there really aren’t that many. The lunch menu is basic and expensive. Worth a one time visit but be prepared for a few hundred dollar afternoon!Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten October 2, 2023

Coming from one curvy mom to another, some of the rides are NOT family friendly. I was only able to do the carousel, Ferris wheel and balloon ride with my little one. The star jumper and the airplane rides were for very thin adults. I was told I had to get off of both- in a not very friendly way. It was a bit humiliating. We had fun none the less, but you’d think they’d install longer seatbelts and perhaps bigger seats in today’s inclusive world.

We're a family of 5 - kids are aged 7, 5, 3. I was a bit skeptical because of the high ticket price (and we ALL had to pay) but we needed to kill some time before our cottage check-in. I have to say that I was very impressed. The rollercoasters were fantastic for our kids - my 7 year old was able to go alone on most of them so my husband and I could ride with the smaller 2 kids. My littlest loved seeing Santa - who is available for a visit at his cottage or sometimes seen walking around with Mrs. Claus. The train was not working when we were there but the park is much smaller than it looks on the map and very walkable - we didn't bring a wagon or stroller for the 3 year old and he was fine. There was so much to do that we ended up running out of time! It's definitely a full day - we arrived around 11am and stayed until close and still didn't do everything there. There's also a splashpad with a little beach - so a change of clothes is a good idea.
My only complaint is about the food. We decided to get lunch around 1:30pm at Riverside Rotisserie (we were thinking it would be more substantial and healthier than other options). Waiting in line for 30 minutes to order and then ANOTHER 45 minutes for food to be ready (thankfully the kids could continue doing rides while I waited). People were complaining like crazy and treating the poor teenager working there so horribly. Finally got our food and it wasn't made correctly. You're not supposed to bring in outside food, but backpacks aren't checked...just saying.

We were here last year and there was no water, pop, icecream left and no food at the last place to order any, other than a bag of chips. We were told it was due to a supply issue due to COVID. Here agin this year and no water anywhere again. They said they just ran out this morning which is obviously an ongoing issue. It took 25 minutes for our beavertails order. You are not allowed to bring in your own food but I recommend you do

I’ve been coming to Santas village for years with my family. We have always loved it but this time was the icing on the cake. What a major upgrade they’ve had. Everything has been improved. It’s now more magical than it was before. Well done team Santa

An amazing park and wonderful staff. The park is nestled among high mature trees, so there is lots of shade. The size is much smaller than Wonderland, easier to navigate for smaller kids. The food is way better than Wonderland amd virtually no wait time for the rides. Having said that, the rides don't really compare, they are smaller and less thrilling, but for smaller children are
Perfect.
You can also camp or rent a cabin which is really cool.
Highly reccommended!

Truly a full day of Santa themed activities from games to rides to costumes and decorations. It is like stepping into Santa's summer home without the cold and snow -
We arrived promptly upon opening and caught the first train ride with Santa followed by a visit with him & Mrs Claus and a feeding of the reindeer! The park wasn't very crowded at this time on a Sat am in Aug and before the day got hotter -
All rides are geared to the pre-tween set but most can accommodate reasonably sized adults. The boat ride on the Muskoka River is a must! The park is well laid out to be not soo overcrowded and does involve much walking particularly if doing the suspension bridge.
There are a few meal options on-site yet more water fountains or filling stations are required. Also very pleased with the ice cream selection & size; no skimping given the price!

Is it worth going with a 14 month old or wait until next summer when he's 2?
Cfarley1
Bracebridge, Canada212 contributions
It's worth going as long as they are over 32 inches tall, that is the minimum height requirement for the majority of the rides.

If I book a cabin at whispering pines, can we walk into the Santa's Village Amusement park? Or do I need to drive in

Hello , are all things still running for the halloween event

It is my understanding that all things will be running during the Halloween Event, but I can’t see the water attractions (splash pad and bumper boats) being active, since the weather will likely be cold. Best thing would be to call SV directly to find out. Have fun!

How are the crowds on weekdays in August?

There were small lineups at a couple of the more popular attractions so we did those first.
Do we need to bring our own towels for splash pad?
