Oyster tour not available this year. Wanted to go. Sounded good but not running in 2017. To bad because we wanted to go.

Eel lake Oyster Farm is the real deal, not a tourist trap, meet the people who farm the oysters, and enjoy seeing their operation and buy some to take home or enjoy in their lake front eating area. Highly recommend.

Located on NS3 (make a south turn at Eel Lake Road off NS103 and then a left or east until see the sign on left). For $CA 30, you get an informative glimpse into the farming process for these very tasty oysters. The owner takes you out on their boat and shows you the process by which they grow oysters for sale. After the boat tour, he shows you how to shuck and then gives very delicious samples. Highly recommended. Whole tour is about 90 minutes.…

My husband and I go and buy 4 doz oysters there every September. They are amazing! !! The place is so cool. We have not done the boat tour. But have seen how it all works. Definately worth a visit. Kids would find it cool to see how oysters grow!!!

Great experience to see a live oyster farm!! We really enjoyed this little operation and the oysters were wonderful! Small and sweet compared to what we are used to. Very nice indeed.
