The terminal is nice new and clean, however offers very few options to the weary travelers. The only food services offered is through vending machines. It should be noted that any traveler should eat in town before entering terminal.

I recently travelled to Newfoundland via Marine Atlantic. We took the Blue Puttees from North Sydney on the way there and returned on the Atlantic Vision from Argentia. We had a two-bed birth on both crossings, which was quite comfortable. The beds had pillows and...More

This was my first time ever on a Ferry, wasn't sure what to expect. I thought the ship was very nice, very clean, staff were very polite. Only reason I am giving a 4 star is due to cost of food and alcohol. Pretty expensive...More

My wife and I made a quick trip to Moncton form NL which consisted of a day crossing going over and a night crossing coming back. I haven’t been on the ferry since these relatively new ones came around..i.e. Blue Puttees. A lot of changes...More

The food was basic but not extravagantly priced. The regular seating was comfortable for sitting purposes but definitely not conducive to a good night's sleep. The overall pricing of the ferry seemed a bit excessive yet I can somewhat understand as perhaps not that many...More

Having spent very little time on the water, I was concerned about the 17 hour ferry trip from North Sydney to Argentia, Newfoundland. I also read many of the reviews--and some added to my concerns. But, those concerns were mostly alleviated as I pulled into...More

I was not expecting that. I usually think that ferries are just a piece of metal with nothing fancy. To my surprise, this ferry looks like a mini cruise ship. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For the travel at night, I would recommend...More

Great trip. We took the ferry to Newfoundland and since I am handicapped they make sure that you get your car on first. We had also found out that for a few dollars more you can get a reserved chair on the top leave and...More

We took the ferry to/from Sydney Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. The trip takes roughly 6-7 hours; the ferry is quite slow and you have to add 2 hours to line up and load the car (assisted the entire way by ferry staff)....More

You can see out the windows of the reserved seats but there isn't much to see, especially at night. The only really good view is when you're leaving or entering one of the ports and you can see that fine from one of the free... More
