The terminal is nice new and clean, however offers very few options to the weary travelers. The only food services offered is through vending machines. It should be noted that any traveler should eat in town before entering terminal.
I recently travelled to Newfoundland via Marine Atlantic. We took the Blue Puttees from North Sydney on the way there and returned on the Atlantic Vision from Argentia. We had a two-bed birth on both crossings, which was quite comfortable. The beds had pillows and...More
This was my first time ever on a Ferry, wasn't sure what to expect. I thought the ship was very nice, very clean, staff were very polite. Only reason I am giving a 4 star is due to cost of food and alcohol. Pretty expensive...More

Great trip. We took the ferry to Newfoundland and since I am handicapped they make sure that you get your car on first. We had also found out that for a few dollars more you can get a reserved chair on the top leave and...More
We took the ferry to/from Sydney Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. The trip takes roughly 6-7 hours; the ferry is quite slow and you have to add 2 hours to line up and load the car (assisted the entire way by ferry staff)....More
