Explore Western Canada's largest collection of heritage locomotives and railcars. The West Railway Heritage Park experience starts with free parking, washrooms, ticketing/guest service and a Gift Shop. Your self-guided tour will take you back in time through vintage railcars dating to 1890, building from the early 20th century and artifacts exhibits but also steam and diesel locomotives from the mid-century era. In addition to our outdoor experiences, the newly build 21000sq-ft Roundhouse can provide opportunities for events, conferences and is the home of one of BC best heritage steam locomotive the 2860 ROYAL HUDSON. Also available is our most popular attraction: the MINI RAIL. Take a 20 mins ride on our 3 km long tracks around the site, the whole family will love it!! The Heritage Park is the perfect place to wonder around beautiful restored heritage pieces for individuals, family and groups of all sizes and ages

I heard great things about this "Polar Express" train ride. I took my 10 yr old nephew and I think he was bored. It's probably better for little kids. I personally thought the train speed was ridiculously slow, crawling almost. I guess they have to...More

Thank you for your observations Michelle. The vast majority of the team putting on the Polar Express are volunteers, many being members of our non-profit charity. We do try to mimic the characters and themes of the Polar Express movie - the actors try to...More

The Museum Volunteers have created a wonderful train ride for kids and kids at heart called the Polar Express. It includes characters from the movie and the head conductor is a ringer for the Tom Hanks character. It was a great experience. Hot chocolate and...More

We are so glad you enjoyed your Polar Express experience, Louisa. The reward that the volunteers so look forward to are the gleeful smiles on the faces of the children at Polar Express - the wonder of the big train and the magic of Santa's...More

Malcolm A: I deeply regret the inconvenience that you experienced. A trip down the highway only to unexpectedly find our venue closed is most frustrating. Our communication on our social media and websites should have been more informative, and our greeting at the venue more...More

I couldn’t help but read the comments in the “terrible” rate section and noticed that 99% of those who were upset had small kids with them. Too bad they don’t realize this is an actual railroad museum and not a Thomas the Train fantasy park....More
