Chief is my go to hike before or after work! About hour and a half of insanely good cardio! The best part is the view of course :)

Definitely the hardest hike I've done, to date. That's not saying anything, keep in mind. I would say most people in good health should be able to accomplish this, but it may require many times to pause for a rest. It's essentially like climbing several...More

We found the hike challenging but take your time. Wear good footwear, bring water and snacks. The hike is worth it for the views at the top.

This is a great walk with amazing views at the top. Due to the chief having two cliff faces on either side however there is only one way up which is exceeding steep. I am reasonably fit and seriously struggled with some sections due to...More

This was tough and I had to conquer my ladder fear! But it was so worth it and I would suggest this hike to anyone who enjoys a challenge and a view!

We started the climb at about 9am and easily found a space in the carpark which also has toilets. Follow the signs to ensure you use the correct trail, there were a few deviations at the start when we were there. It is a climb...More

Take lots of water and snacks and go on a nice day. This hike is still doable in the rain but not as rewarding of a view if its overcast and also dangerous when wet. This hike requires sure footing and endurance, leave early to...More

One that you have to do if you are visiting. It's a challenging route and can often be quite slippery but it is well worth it when you get to the peak. The first peak is the aim to get the view you need but...More

This is a climbing rock. Unfortunately we saw it in the rain so no one was climbing. This was a nice stop on our way from Whistler to Vancouver.

This was my first time doing the chief but I now know that you have to do the hike in order to take in the view. There is no view from the parking lot area. Pack a lunch and hydration and plan to spend a couple hours to hike... More
