Very nice ride from BC Ferries to Victoria. Some road riding but most has a bicycle lane. All is very flat and can be ridden by even the most novice riders. Ties into the well laid out bike routes in Victoria and the wonderful Galloping Goose trail all the way out to Sooke and Leachtown.

Good trail for biking and walking, it is about 6 km walk from golf course to the farm and back. Relax and have ice cream or tea after the walk.

Dust off your bicycles and take an easy safe ride as far as your legs can take you. If you are a visitor to the city......rent a bike! You won,t regret it. Walk , pack a picnic, stop at Matticks Farm for ice cream. For all ages and capability trail. Thank you Saanich! ( and other municipalities). We use the... More

This is a nice trail that meanders thru the country and loops back into the city. We road about 27-30 k one way from Central Saanich to Victoria Harbour. Stopped for coffee and road back so about a 60 k ride. It is a very easy ride. No much of a challenge. I am sure if you live there you... More

This is a very beautiful walking/bike path- definitely a peaceful place to take a walk or bike ride. The trail is quite long- it goes from Sidney all the way to Victoria. Not all of it is paved- in the particular part that we were walking on, most wasn't; given that it had been raining all morning before we went... More

This trail stretches from the edge of Victoria city where it meets up with other trails to Sidney. It is wide enough to accommodate walkers, runners, bikers, dogs and the odd horse. It is also flat. It passes through farm land, and some urban areas. There are places along the route to grab a bite to eat as well as... More

We chose this trail on a sunny Sunday afternoon, as the weather had been grey and raining, and we wanted to make the most of the blue sky and bright light. Many people had the same idea and we encountered cyclists, horseback riders, walkers and runners. The trail was busy but there were many moments of quiet. The trail is... More

This trail goes through beautiful farmland and is well used by walkers, bike riders and sometimes horses. Some very muddy spots. There is talk of paving the muddy areas and not allowing horses on the trails as apparently they are not picked up after. It's nice to use the trail as it is not along a road so is quite... More

This trail is excellent for a bicycle ride between Victoria and Sidney. Well marked but be aware there are a couple sections that are gravel and after (or during) rain you will kick up mud a you may need to wipe down your bike. That is not a strike against the trail, simply a fact. Interesting scenery along the route... More
