We were traveling through the Canadian Rockies and discovered Revelstoke. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time, so decided to go to the dam visitor center. We took the self-guided tour which was really interesting, especially the displays describing the construction of the dam....More

Make sure you get the tour with the guide, the one we had was full of information and very knowledgeable. And definitely take the elevator that goes to the top of the dam(which they do on the tour). Very worth the effort to get there.

We arrived late for the tour, but caught up with the group downstairs. The tour guide made a big difference in making our visit more efficient. The driver needs to show photo ID at the security gate. You can bring bags/purses up to the reception...More

It's a shame that you can't get a clear view of the reservoir behind the damn, but there is a stopping place just up the road where you can get a clearer view. The centre is interesting, interactive things to do and play with. We...More

We were both surprised and pleased with our visit, not sure what we expected but came away better educated about hydro electric power. It was clear and effective, the grandchildren would have loved it. The $5. entrance fee was well worth it. The view from...More

Apart from this being and awesome feat of Engineering, there were information boards all around explaining how we can make a difference by, for example, turning the heating down by one degree.

I believe there are tours available, I've seen the groups walking around before with guides. There may also be a self guided tour available.
