The car park gets busy so an early start is best. Go to the top first and walk up to the fire watchers hut. Go by the road and return by the trail. Plenty of walks at summit and around the lake lower down. Difficulties to suit all abilities.
Visit the other viewing areas on the way down.

The road to reach the top is totally worth it! There are a few possible stops to have a view, then near the lake is THE view on the mountains and glacier far away!

The hikes are well indicated. Make sure to bring repellent if you don't like mosquitos much. They aren't all biters but they love humans!! And lots of bees in August (I don't know for the other months with less flowers)

I was really looking forward to visiting Meadows in the Sky but I had this perceptions it would all be above the tree line but that is not the case. The forest is mixed with meadows which are beautiful because of all the wild flowers. The meadows area is well suited to casual hikers as there are many short hikes to pick from, the only downside was the mosquitos as there were quite bad. Parking was quite unorganized and the parks person there was making no effort to organize it, he just sat under his tent scowling at the tourists.

Nice drive up a mountain. Park pass is required. Some stop points with views and some trails like the broken bridge which are worth doing. The summit has an old fire lookout building that was really neat.

Views from the road were everything but clear, nothing really to see while we were going up. There was some smoke or fog… Once at the top, bugs were so big on the car windows that we didn’t even dare going out. We just went back down. No flowers to be seen anywhere even if we were in August.

Other than the pre-teen feeling nauseous on the way up, this was a fabulous way to spend the day! Be sure to take your time and stop at all the lookouts and areas of interest on your way up (or down). Plan to do the quick 1 km to the summit once you reach the top too! One of our best adventures to date in Revelstoke.

We had been here years ago and loved it but just not the same. Few wildflowers this year probably due to the dry conditions. Lots of huge horseflies waiting for you to step out of your vehicle to attack. Lots of smoke prevented us from seeing the gorgeous views. They really should warn visitors about this at the gate before you pay the admission to go up.

It was great for as far as we went. Unfortunately the gate was closed but we walked around a bit. Need more information on when it closes for the season.
