Great stop at the summit of Rogers Pass. The Discovery centre tells the history of the pass and it quite interesting. There is a turnoff just before the centre that has the memory garden and is quite nice also

Nice little spot with some great exhibits. History of the pass and local information. I heard that the video presentation is worth while... But we didn't take the time.

New things to learn about the area - history and highlights and off-the-beaten-track places to go. Helpful staff.

A very entertaining stop on Hwy. 1. Whether it involves viewing the train tunnel models or the native wildlife inside or the adventurers heading backcountry outside, this is a fabulous break from driving.

They show a film here about how they control avalanches by shooting canons and there were several animals put on display by a taxidermist. The ranger was very nice and gave good information. The views from the parking lot are amazing.

I didn't know this but apparently the Canadian army shoots at avalanches to control their size and impact.
