The first we knew about ‘Nels Knickers’ sculpture was from a very knowledgeable and friendly guide at the Revelstoke Museum and Archives. It is a monument to Nels Nelsen, who set a new world ski jump record in 1916 after jumping from the very first...More

Wow. This should be on everyone's bucket list. Upon entering through the kiosk ask for the map. You will drive about 40 minutes up the mountain (there are lookout points along the way). Once you reach the parking lot there will be a shuttle or...More

Drive up the 26-K switchback road to the top. Fabulous views along the way. A Parks van takes people the last bit to the actual summit. It does take time, as speed limits range from 20- to 40-K. Best to go on s sunny day,...More

The long drive up the hill is worth it. The views are spectacular from the summit. There aren't several short trails that lead to different viewponts

How sweet to drive up a fully paved road to hike into alpine lakes! Not difficult, but there are some steep sections we noted some people were struggling with. Not exceptional views over the most of the hike, but you will see nice flower meadows...More

On 5th August 2017 we stopped to visit Mount Revelstoke National Park because of the reviews about the high mountain flower meadows which were spectacular in summer months. The drive from entrance to actual parking was 26km up a spectacular switchback road which took about...More

We enjoyed the hike to Eva lake. It's 6km to the lake from the shuttle drop through alpine meadows and Bear country! Somewhat undulating terrain we were tired but satisfied afterwards. Fantastic park.

The winding road to the top of the park offers several scenic stops and the summit has great views, a fire watch tower, petroglyphs and many wildflowers among the trails.

Almost certainly. However, this is a fairly high altitude location, so the weather can be unpredictable. Early snow is always a possibility, but even with light snow the trails will still be open. Make sure you are geared up... More

By the way I recommend you bring bug spray. We had it and had no problems but saw many people without and it was a problem.
