On a weekday morning in August, we hiked this woodland trail that is relatively low on the ascent road in the national park (the curvy road that ends near the summit). My wife and I spent about two hours (total) doing this loop trail --...More

We hiked to Jade Lakes midweek. Saw bears (mother and cub) on the drive to the parking lot from the gate, pikas, squirrels and owls on the trail. There were quite a few other hikers, but everyone was polite and friendly.

For anyone who loves, nature, mountains, and water, this is paradise. Stop for an hour, a day, or a week, you will leave a happy person.

Driving up to the summit is a lovely way to ascend to the alpine, the top is pretty crowded with motorhomes, and parking can be difficult to find, but once established, the rest is well worth it... hike over to Eva Lake, and experience the...More

Must do in Revelstoke. Drive up the winding road to the top parking lot. Walk through the meadows, wildflowers and panoramic views.

Stopped in on our way through Revelstoke in early August and drove to the upper lot. Right from the lot there are tons of beautiful meadows full of wildflowers. It's an hours walk or a shuttle ride from there to the top. It is worth...More

We were so happy to find this place. We weren't planning on stopping anywhere in Revelstoke as we were just passing through, but our detour up this mountain led us to an incredibly beautiful place. From the bottom up to the top is about 20...More

Worth the hike, but be aware the place is full of mosquitos during the summer. Wear long sleeves and trousers or have a very good mosquito repellent. We were eaten up alive and were hardly able to join the scenery which is well worth the...More

Unfortunately we did not have time to do anything but drive through the park, although there were a couple of boardwalk nature trails which we would have loved to do. We did enjoy driving the Meadows in the Sky Parkway. Everywhere one looks when you...More

Almost certainly. However, this is a fairly high altitude location, so the weather can be unpredictable. Early snow is always a possibility, but even with light snow the trails will still be open. Make sure you are geared up... More

By the way I recommend you bring bug spray. We had it and had no problems but saw many people without and it was a problem.
