Unfortunately you can hear he highway a bit throughout your walk. But it's still a pleasant, accessible wander through rainforests. You would think that you are on Vancouver Island, it's so lush.

This trail starts immediately at the parking lot (about 30km East of Revelstoke) and is on a boardwalk with some steps through an ancient forest with giant trees. Very peacefull and impressive.

The perfect travellers break. Work those cramped muscles, renew the soul!! Such an amazing place. Look carefully and you can see portions of the previous trail that was annihilated by an intense storm. Our tax dollars well spent!

Since it had only been 4 C that morning, it was cool walking on the boardwalk through the trees. But, it was very impressive to see the big trees in there. There had also been a plant, Devil's Club, all over as they had really big leaves but had 'thorns' on the stems and stalks.

Explore an inland Ancient Old Growth Rainforest, just East of Revelstoke, while traveling on the Trans Canada Highway! A great way to spend an hour, stretching your legs, after a long car ride and take in the amazing energy of the Giant Cedars!

Keep an eye out for this place because it would be easy to drive right by. That would be a mistake, however. This well maintained boardwalk trail wonders around through old growth rainforest. It's a soothing meander, not a difficult hike. However, be aware there are some steps involved. It will only take about 30 minutes of your time -... More

We took a break here from our drive. The board walk was well built and easy to walk on with railings all the way.

I went here with my sisters and husband at the beginning of October. It started raining but made the experience that much more magical. The tall trees and lush plants growing all over makes for an enchanting experience. The walk takes around 30 min. The boardwalk makes it easy to walk but has a step or two every few metres,... More
