Soaring to new heights for a bird’s eye view of the stunning Selkirk mountain we joined Glacier Helicopters. Started in 2003 their primary focus has always been safety and experience- best pilots with the best service. They offer sightseeing, Heli-hiking, Heli-weddings, heli-hotsprings and custom tours to meet your bucket list needs. I thought a romantic private tour was exactly the breath of fresh air we needed. Our pilot Eric greeted us, helped us to embark and whisked us around for a superb, fun and informative expedition. Hovering over pristine landscape of peaks and glaciers, wildlife watching all while soaking in all that beauty- no wonder eagles are an envy! I very much enjoy flight fixed wing or rotor but there’s something extra special about helicopters. The playful maneuvers, floating above craggy glaciers, the sky piercing presence of a Valkyrie… you just need to experience it and definitely with Glacier Helicopters. Of the several dozen companies across Canada I’ve visited they are among my TOP 3.
If you love nature, the outdoors and want a true alpine experience do yourself a favour and visit Glacier Helicopters- you will be thoroughly impressed!

We hired Glacier Helicopters for our wedding photos and I would highly recommend them to everyone.
Eric was our pilot and helped make the experience so much fun! He took us to the top of Mt Begbie and we took photos on the rocks and by the glacial lakes. The weather was perfect and our photos turned out great thanks to Katee Pederson!

Our flight with Glacier Helicopters was the absolute highlight of our trip to BC! We did a tour over the beautiful snow capped mountains and valleys of Revelstoke. At every turn the scenery was breathtaking! What a fantastic and magical way to experience the mountains, Our pilot, Paul, was professional, friendly, and a very skilled pilot. He knows so much about the area, pointing out the specific mountains and other areas of interest as we flew by. I would absolutely recommend a helicopter tour from this great company - so so worth it in every way!

My girl and I love touring around and trying out new adventures and seeking new thrills. Since we enjoy hiking, trekking and the outdoors - what better way to experience a true alpine experience! Since Revelstoke is so special to us, I thought to treat her to one of our bucket list items and go marvel at the beauty this awesome place has to offer.
We were greeted by our pilot Eric who was very professional, knowledgeable and knew the area very well. He showed us glaciers, pristine landscape and beautiful scenery. Our flight was very smooth, full of amazement and it gave us such appreciation of Canada and B.C.
This being one of many tour groups across Canada I’ve taken as a Former Concierge for a luxury hotel brand- I comfortably rate Glacier Helicopters as one of the top of all time. Eric was very skilled, welcoming and showed us all the gems in the area. My girl was beyond happy and completely elated at this perfect experience!

We stopped by on a whim after seeing the sign for rides. We were myself, my daughter and grand daughter who had snuck away for a two night adventure well over due. I went in and looked at the trips offered and knew we could not afford such a treat for all three of us. The lady behind the counter, sorry I am terrible with remembering names was the nicest person I have met in a long awhile. We decided we couldn't swing it as it was out of our budget and she said my 4 year old grand daughter could ride for free!!! Well what a treat we went and saw the dam and rode over the snowy mountains, a once in a life time experience for my little family!!!! It was an unbelievable experience for us and we talked about it all day, for sure a highlight of the trip. Once we got back the lady even gave my grand daughter a tee shirt as a memento, she wore it all the next day. Needless to say, the ride and the lady made our whole day. Thanks for the wonderful experience that we will remember forever and the kindness of a stranger who touched our hearts. You guys are the best!!!!

We finally got to go up in the helicopter on our 4th attempt. The weather had been very cloudy. It was great. A very smooth take off and landing in the glacier. It was great to see from the air. We were only able to do Franz Josef glacier. Highly recommend.

$225 with fees for a helidrop to Mt Cartier. Approximately an 8-10 min ride. It's difficult to relate how much safer I felt in a helicopter than a 747, but.
Simon was not only our email contact point, but the pilot. They have 2 helicopters, a blue one for sightseeing, and the orange one with bike racks.
UNPARALLELED views of Lake Revelstoke and the Columbia River which make for fantastic pics and videos. They let you take whatever you want.
We had to do 3-4 cycles near the subpeak in order to dip through dense clouds that can creep over the Ridgeline. The landing was abrupt but soft.
They fully debrief you on the bike rack and belongings disembarment procedure, and don't overcomplicate things. They show you a 5 min video before take off and everyone is really calm.
Would do it again in a heartbeat

Thank you for providing your feedback - we're very glad that you had such a positive experience and enjoyed the ride down Mt. Cartier. The weather can change quickly in the mountains but safety is always our first priority and so it is fortunate that the clouds held off long enough that day for us to complete the drop. Thanks again for flying with us!

My daughter and I did a helicopter drop on Mt Cartier and then hiked down to the bottom. Simon was our pilot and was incredible. I had made contact with Simon via email prior to our trip up to Revelstoke. Simon responded very quickly and was very helpful and professional. I had never been in a helicopter, on the day of our drop, Simon thoroughly went through all the safety measures, where everything was located on the helicopter and what to do once we were being dropped off. I never felt nervous or scared. Simon spoke with a lot of confidence so we both trusted him totally. During the flight, he pointed out other mts., talked about the dam below, about the many lakes on the other side of Mt. Cartier. Simon also told us he could drop us below and on the other side of Mt Cartier if we wanted to hike up instead of down. We elected to hike down. Our hike took us 5.5 hrs to get down. The view from the peak was breath taking. It was a very clear day so we had a 360 view of everything around us. The first 4 miles of the hike was pretty easy and in wide open field with colorful flowers. Once we dropped down into the tree line, the trail became way more steep. So using poles, was a must..It was steady downhill for about 6.5 miles. With about 1 mile left to go, our legs felt like jello and both knees were very sore. We both are in pretty good shape, so we thought we would be ok.
Working with Glacier Tours (Simon) was very easy, everything turned out the way it was explained or quoted to us. Excellent customer service and company to work with.
I highly recommend using this company.

Thank you to Luc for taking my son, his girlfriend and myself on the most amazing ride that will never be forgotten. He explained where we were going, what we were seeing, and gave me a whole new perspective on our world and how it was created and is still created to this day! I can't say enough good things about this company, their professionalism and the forever memories. Pictures tell 1000 words but memories are never forgotten. Thank you to you and especially you Luc.

How many people can ride at the same helicopter ? We are a party of five

Hello - we operate two different types of helicopter. One can seat 4 passengers and the other can seat 5 passengers.
Please feel free to give us a call (250-837-9569) if you would like to make a reservation.
prices of admission and my husband is on portable oxygen...is that okay?
glacier_helicopters
Revelstoke, Canada
Thank you for your enquiry - our prices range from $49 per person up to $450 per person depending on the length of tour you would like to do (all prices subject to 5% GST).
Our most popular tour is the 30 minute option ($250 per person) that flies past multiple glaciers along with pristine alpine lakes and lush forested valleys.
Regarding your husband's portable oxygen: as long as it is contained in a certified cylinder then we are permitted to carry it onboard. The maximum altitude we reach on the glacier flights is around 8,000ft which is similar to the level that commercial airlines pressurise their cabins to, therefore we wouldn't expect there to be any issues.
Please feel free to call us (250-837-9569) if you would like to discuss things in more detail or if we can offer any other assistance.
Best wishes from the Team at Glacier Helicopters
