The site was available for self-guided tours only. Staff and volunteers are working on getting it ready to open soon - getting buildings and some machinery up and running. I think there will be a cafeteria available. We felt it would be great to return...More

Historic site gives entertainment as well as some history, if yiou can take the steam train from Port Alberni (town) to the mill site it is a great trip.More

If you wish to see the history of logging and forestry in this area go to Duncan Forestry Museum. It is easy to find, cost is realistic and you will see the same.
