We’ve been out searching for tidal treasures for most of January & February. Nothing so far but the experience is quite fascinating. Meeting people who are also looking and finding shells etc. It is great fun! Even in the snow!

This beach has everything; huge driftwood, forest, pools, birds, rocks. If I lived here I would walk it everyday. When we visited in early Feb the black brand geese were migrating; a very early sighting as they usually came late Feb, early March, on their...More

This park has so much to offer. Playgrounds, hiking and walking on the beach. Lots of parking and a cover place for family/friend get together. I believe you can book it online.

Gorgeous forests, meadows, and oceanfront. Also lots of geocaches! Great walks for all ages/abilities, and excellent beach swimming in the summer.

This park is a short drive from Parksville, BC. It has the Englishman River Falls which are very impressive, especially after a rainfall. It also has easy trails, camping areas and picnic spots. Suitable for a relatively short day excursion.

Rathtrevor Park is a large wooded and beach area on the Georgian Strait. The beach is vast and provides much opportunity for walking, digging looking for small water creatures. The water is shallow and great for young children.

Love this beach..very beautiful scenery. Great for families...dogs love it! The walking trail is well maintained and a beautiful forested area is adjacent to the beach.

Stopped by here with my dog and went for a walk while the tide was about 1\2 out, so tranquil when there's not many people around.

Went on a nice walk. Looped around from Ty na Mara lodge. A little snowy on the path but a beautiful walk none the less. Do not walk your dog on the beach area adjacent to the park area. Park ranger patrolling to give people...More

Dawn to dusk. No dogs slowed during the Brandt Gees Festival for the protection of wildlife. Great dog run the rest of the year. Not sure if the dates but think it's approx June.
