Another day, another great Nelson burger. The Limp Brizket Burger; as part of Nelson's Burger Month, Torchlight Brewing Co. offered a smoked brisket and beef burger layered with jalapeño monterey jack cheese, wasabi blue cheese, pomegranate BBQ sauce, and a garlic toum topped with backwards-pickled onion and served in a Texas toast bun with fresh jalapeños and pea shoots.
It's the flavour of the wasabi blue cheese. It's so strong (in the most respectful, and beautiful way); however be warned if you're not so keen on wasabi and blue cheese, however the chefs here obviously know some culinary secrets; what pairs beyond perfectly with smoked brisket and jalapeño monterey jack - the wasabi blue cheese for a mulekick of flavour and power, a pomegranate BBQ sauce for that exotic sweet-flavoursome twist, and the toum, a bold Lebanese garlic sauce that really brings everything together. The Texas toast was a great look, too, but this burger was truly something else; a flavour combination I've never had before, not even the slightest idea of these flavours has come into my mind, and it was perfect.
Staff here are also amazingly sociable, helpful, and inviting. They really helped create the experience, so my respect to them for being so warm and sociable during our visit, great selection of probably the best ales in B.C., too.

The selection of beer is always great and the food has improved a lot since they first moved here. A reasonable choice of casual lunch food and well prepared. The staff here are very friendly and the place feels welcoming.

We are just passing through town and looked up Restaurant in Nelson. We had a great lunch, with a quality flight of beer options. The staff was really friendly and the overall experience was an A+. Great brewery and I would suggest you check it out.

The beer is fantastic but the food was absolutely dreadful. I had the wings and a pretzel with cheese sauce. The wings seemed like they were rubbery and sad with a terrible texture. The pretzel was fine but the cheese sauce congealed and maybe burnt. I can’t put my finger on what was wrong.
I would definitely come back for a beer but would eat before.

Walking by on a hot summer day and was naturally drawn to enjoy a cold craft beer on the patio. Covid protocols in place. Reduced seating inside and two patio areas available; regular one and additional set up in parking lot. Lots on tap. Enjoyed an IPA that was very tasty and refreshing. Food offering available but was just looking to quench my thirst.

We have a couple of nice pints here and it was nice to sit on the covered patio. Good service and they have food if you're hungry.

I’m a dark beer lover. There are so many stouts to choose from!
The Quintus Fig and Sumac-Dark Saison is so smooth with a hint of sour and sweet.
The Mountain King-Golden Stout was so amazing!! A light stout... just perfect.
Also if you have the option try the Stowaway on Nitro!!!

Great beers! Sort of beer-hall atmosphere, but chilled out and didn't seem to get rowdy (I was there mid-week). High seating along the windows then regular seating. Beers were fantastic. Didn't seem to be any food...

The service is great, the locally crafted beverages are wonderful and there's plenty of parking. If you're in Nelson, and want the craft beer experience, this is the place to go!
