I travel across the continent and spend my ski trips at Whitewater because the terrain is awesome and they get a ton of powder. It is low key and not touristy. Mostly a locals mountain, but with big vertical and endless trees to ski in. Bring your fat skis.

It puked snow almost the whole time we were there. The snow was super light and fluffy, which made it tough to gauge what was underneath...which we soon found out as some "danger zones" were not clearly marked and we got caught in some not so fun places. My board was a bit slashed up. When they say "natural hazards"... More

I should tell you it's terrible as I don't want WH20 to get busy! Amazing skiing. Yesterday we got 37cm. Longest I lined up was 10 minutes, busy but not so crowded you're always looking over your shoulder on runs. Amazing food at the lodge or Micks Hut at the bottom of the Glory Chair.

Visited Whitewater on opening day (Dec 9) 2016. Summit the only lift running resulting in too much queuing. It might be charming with old lifts but the lifts at Whitewater was probably outdated 20 years ago... Snow conditions was really good, and especially the upper parts were amazing. Disappointed not to be able to do the Silver King (which was... More

Ive skied big and small resorts and Ill go for the no frills, deep powder and shorter line ups every time. If you need to be pampered then stay home with the Pomeranian. Were here to bust laps scoring faceshots and crush pints with friends. Best hill with the deepest powder and the most amazing people!

32 years ago we came to Whitewater on our honeymoon. We were greeted with incredible hospitality and welcomed into a cafe with big wooden church doors. I remember this magical place near the bottom of the mountain. My husband remembers it near the bottom of the ski hill. We were given delicious soup and hot chocolate. At the bottom of... More
