What a great place for our family reunion! Eagle Ranch Resort worked out perfectly for our bi-annual family golf tournament and reunion. Rooms were large, clean and quiet. The chef made us amazing food. I wish I had taken pictures of our meals. Even though I had never golfed before, it was so much fun doing a best ball scramble-type tournament with my much better golfing relatives. We lucked out with weather on a September weekend and got to be outdoors a lot enjoying the patio with heat lamps and the beautifully landscaped, newly opened propane fire pits. There were lots of lovely spots to take family photos too. The best part was it was steps away for everything and the staff was friendly and made our event easy and enjoyable.

Very disappointing. Course has deteriorated in both maintenance and service. Checked in and asked if there was anything to know and were told of nothing. We’re we surprised to have the greens too dressed. Not impressed when charged full price for 36 holes.
Tee boxes were not mowed. Shaggy all day.
Fairways were not mowed all morning and slowly cut in the afternoon. The fairways were poor with dead spots everywhere. Grey Wolf and Radium Springs were far superior in both areas
Starter was old and angry. More concerned with his retirement job than customer service. Kept telling us that the staff had been reduced and couldn’t keep up. But then reduce the cost accordingly.
Carts ran out for the second 18. Wouldn’t let us keep our cart and couldn’t find one until right before tee time.
Of course it died on us and we pushed it back up #10 to get another. No apologies or compensation.
All in all I would choose another course before playing here again as there are so many choices.
Hopefully the management can correct their ways and return it what it used to be.

Another must stop on our yearly golf trip in the Kootenays. This course is always well maintained, challenging and beautiful. Great practice range and facilities, snack shop, GPS on golf carts, pro shop , lounge ,restaurant and deck are beautiful. Friendly staff. The course is green from the well manicured greens to the fairways and tee boxes . Beautiful white sand in the bunkers. We always enjoy this courses during it is rated highly by Score magazine.

We booked a stay and play package at the Headwaters Lodge at Eagle Ranch. Golf course was great. Room in the lodge was also very good. They advertise as full service luxury rooms with luxurious robes for the guests, but there was no maid service, no robes and the restarting was closed 2 of the 4 days we were there and the third day was booked for a private event. We were not informed about any of this when we booked. To say the least the stay did not meet our expectations.

Great potential .. however the restaurant is terrible! I really wanted to like the clubhouse at eagle ranch, given the beautiful golf course it is on.. however, do not waste your money at the club house, the food is not up to par in any way. I ordered the duck, it was dry, over seasoned and the chef zested so much lemon on it, that it was all you could taste. We waited awhile to be served, we stopped a waitress who walked by our table to order drinks, she rudely replied "I'm not your server" and walked away. When our server came to us after waiting, we asked what would be a good wine.. she replies "I'm not sure I'm not a wine person" I was flabbergasted .. why charge the prices you do and call yourself a prominent restaurant and have inexperienced rude staff? The chef replaced the duck dish with a another, it was still over seasoned. My sister had the wings and even a dish as simple as wings were over cooked and dry. When we left the restaurant we were ridiculed by the chef and another cook, the came out to the side of the building, crossed the arms started laughing at us as we walked to our vehicle.. I'm absolutely floored by our experience here and the attitude and professionalism of the staff. The next morning I spoke with the GM Sean Coward, only for him to deny any wrongdoing and not take any responsibility of our terrible experience. Again, I wish the club house matched the quality of the course.. Lots of potential but it's not going to go anywhere with the type of unprofessionalism that lives here.

The golf course is “open” however please be very aware of the following:
1) The halfway house/restaurant and any other place to purchase drinks close at 4.30pm on a weekday. As we tee’d off at 4pm for 18 in 30 degrees Celsius we expected to be able to buy water etc. Nope. This should be advised on the website.
2) They are “changing the GPS” on their carts. This is a course that is more or less un-walkable, but the cart was saying “restricted area” and stopping all around the course - tee boxes, cart paths, fairways etc. The constant reversing around this added 30 minutes to the round. Ridiculous.
3) The my had no tees to purchase at the course. Really? No golf fees in the shop at a golf course? Laughable.
4) The cost was still after all this $79 after 4pm. Every other course in the area (including those with such rarities as the ability to buy a cold refreshing drink) are on average $20 cheaper and far better value.

Go to Copper Point, Radium Springs or GreyWolf. They appreciate your money.

We are on a golf holiday from Vancouver and have recently played several golf courses in the area . This one exceeded expectations in every way. We were greeted in the parking lot by a friendly employee (wearing a mask) who welcomed us and explained the changes (a couple of examples...they don’t touch your clubs and no rakes in traps) due to COVID 19. Thank you on both counts!
Staff in the pro shop and restaurant all wore masks, tables were set up for social distancing and the bathrooms were spotless. All of the ( at least a dozen) employees we encountered were happy, helpful and efficient and contributed to our great experience there.
All was not perfect. Sometimes problems occur. It’s not the unforeseen problems but often the resolution that determines ones satisfaction . Our cart had some issues. Director Peter Smith was most apologetic and resolved the problem in a way that was very satisfactory to us. Thank you Peter.
The course is in spectacular shape. The fairways and greens are immaculate. The course is a very interesting one. There is lots of variety and spectacular views. There is also a short course here so beginning golfers will feel successful.
We finished the day with a fabulous meal on the deck overlooking the 18th hole. Kudos to the chef for an interesting menu and fabulous food.
How good was our experience? So good, we played the course again the next day!
Check out their 20 th Anniversary specials!

Golfed Wednesday around noon. Not busy at all. Able to go out as a twosome. All staff were very friendly.
Had two bottles of water in ice in the cooler on the cart.
Said they had new GPS installed in carts but it didn’t work on most holes until you were well past the tee boxes which didn’t really help if you didn’t know the layout of the hole.
Didn’t check out the restaurant.

Thank you lovesvacation47 for your review, I am happy that the staff were friendly and you enjoyed the water on the cart. I apologize for the GPS not working past the tee boxes, we had recently installed new GPS software and unfortunately for some carts there were a couple issues in the beginning. However we have technicians out and we have been assured that all the GPS on carts should be working! Hopefully we see you again!
