Very enjoyable half day for the family. We took two 13 year olds and two 9 year olds for the half day lazy paddle. Was absolutely gorgeous scenery and we say a lot of wildlife including bald eagles and even a bear. Our guide was really great - can’t remember his name, but was a nice young man from Denmark. May have been just a tad too long for our kids, but overall we really enjoyed and we would recommend. No real paddling experience necessary. None of our kids have experience, and we were all fine - we did double kayaks and everyone figured it out enough to float down the river just fine.

We did the Columbia river paddle from Invermere to Radium (with shuttle bus provided back to Invermere). We had a full four hours on the river and saw some wonderful scenery. In addition, we saw a river otter, muskrat, turtle, eagles, swifts nesting in the cliffs, bighorn sheep and beaver lodges.
Sierra and Molde were great guides, engaging everyone and explaining everything from safety to the wildlife.
Highly recommended.

The guided canoe trip from Invermere to Radium was a highlight of our family vacation. We booked atv'ing and white water rafting for our sons, and expected those adventures to steal the show, but we all agreed that canoeing was our favorite activity. Our guide Sierra was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Our family of four were in a 4-person canoe, and she expertly guided us through the river, pointing out bald eagles and various animals as we went. My kids were entertained throughout the entire trip, and we all just loved it. Thank you!

We had a fantastic experience with Columbia River Paddle. They set us up with the equipment, a talk about the route through the river, and then we had a leisurely paddle for about 2.5 hours. If we had just let the current take us then it probably would have taken the full four hours described. The scenery was gorgeous, and we saw some great birds up close. Highly recommend this trip!

Did this trip with my husband and 13 yr old daughter. None of us are experienced paddlers, so they were a little worried about a 4 hr trip! The time flew by. Our guide, Chris, was wonderful. Our group was small and well looked after. Chris coached us on any specifics we needed to get the best and safest paddling experience, and he also taught us about the environment along the way. It was awesome for everyone - kids and adults. The equipment was in great condition. The most amazing thing was the scenery!! We saw bald eagles and ospreys and mountains! What more could you want? Absolutely stunning, fun day.

My wife and I had a great kayaking excursion with our wonderful guide Sierra. We stopped to help two sisters who had capsized their canoe one of whom was shivering on shore. Sierra did a great job helping the sisters and calling for help. My wife and I joined in to assist as well, getting the canoe right side up and bailed out. The owners Max and Penny were there in no time and helped the ladies to get back to the starting location. We were given a gift certificate and snacks & drinks for our trouble, which was really nothing for us compared to the ladies that capsized. Sierra did a wonderful job handling the situation. As well she was a really good guide being an environmental studies student, and having guided with the Columbia River Paddle Company for 4 years. Overall my wife and I give Sierra and CRPC high marks and would definitely recommend this company for canoeing and kayaking.

Thank you for leaving us a review! Sierra is a fantastic guide and while it's very rare that people get into difficulty paddling this stretch of the river, we're glad that Sierra was close by and Max and Penny were on hand to help!

Give yourself lots of time! We departed at 11:30 for a 3 pm pick up because the website said approx 2.5-3
hours to get to Radium. We paddled hard the whole time and still arrived 15 mins late. We opted not to do the guided tour but in hindsight I wish we had, especially for our younger paddlers in our group.
I must say, this company is amazing and provided top notch service. Definitely a highlight of our vacation. Thanks for your guidance, recommendations and fantastic service right from the booking through to the shuttle back to the starting point.

Thank you for leaving us a 5* review. The time it takes to paddle has many variables and our 2.5 - 3 hour guideline is the for the paddle itself, we usually advise leaving additional time to stop along the way; sorry to hear it wasn't enough time for your group but I'm glad you still had a great experience.

My friend and I are from Australia and this was the first time we have Kayaked in Canada. Safe to say kayaking along Lake Windermere was such an awesome experience. It was a beautiful blue bird day and we saw a little beaver.
Byron was a legend as well and made the experience a hoot!!

2 adults and a 7 year old took the Invermere to Radium guided tour this week. Adrian and Brad guided us on the 4hr and 17km kayak trip down the Columbia River. Really nice paddle and well staffed and guided. We'd definitely do this again.

We rented two SUPs yesterday and had a great experience. The boards were great quality and we had fun with them, of course, but we were really impressed with the service. Tegan helped us get set up with our rentals and she was awesome. We were short on time as we had to get the boards back at a specific time, so she was really quick getting us out on the water while still giving us a ton of information about what we would be able to see out paddling. When we got back to shore, a super friendly man told us where we could put our stuff, took our names, and we were off again with no fuss. Loved it and would do it again!
