About
Pynelogs Cultural Centre & Art Gallery is the cultural hub for the Columbia Valley. We feature visual art shows, concerts, art workshops, an indie film-series, outdoor music festival, and anything else artsy! Pynelogs is over a century old, located on the shores of Lake Windermere, in the heart of Invermere. Its a quaint building with a long history. Cafe Allium is also part of our creative ambience, serving up a hearty healthy fare of food, and when possible, locally sourced.

There was a special showing of artwork by the Blavin family, including beautiful glass works and B&W Photos by Ryan, colourful paintings by his father Hal, and also painted historical B&W Photography by his grandfather.
Great stuff and we really enjoyed our visit to this peaceful spot.

We fell upon this while strolling around Invermere. The art works are nothing special but there again it is a very subjective view. What we did find interesting were the short personal notes each artist had produced that gave you a slight insight into their thought processes that led to their finished pieces.
There is also a small cafe attached but we can't pass comment as we didn't have anything.

Pynelogs holds an Art Show & Soiree every 2 weeks in the summer. We have been going for 8 + years.....consequently our house is amply hung with local artists work. You must go. Jamie and team do a fantastic job creating a beautiful space for the art.

We didn’t stay long, the place itself looked cozy enough. We came to Invermere to see the botanical garden, as advertised in the Kootenay’s tourism brochure. Sadly the botanical garden is not kept in good order, there is rows and rows of lilac trees, one section overgrown with weed and one very ordinary garden with normal ornemental plants.

A great rainy day activity, we viewed works by by local and Canadian artists, and explored the historic old building. The staff was very pleasant, and eager to share info. about the area. There is a quaint cafe restaurant and gift shop, and there are interesting local events that take place here. The building was also a hospital in earlier times.

Scotty Burger has moved to main street Invermere. Ordered a Burger and paid with credit card. Bill was higher than posted and when did an inquire, I was then informed that there was a $1 fee for using a credit card. I was not informed at time of purchase , it was just added on. I was informed that I would have to come back in 20 minutes for the Burger. Food was just OK. Would not recommend this take out establishment it you are in a hurry or are offended by credit card surcharges.

A fantastic setting for an art exhibit. Along the shore of Lake Windermere, this great old log building is a great setting. Several artists in different mediums are on display. I have my favourites you don't have to be artsy to enjoy this. Maybe a little boring for younger children, but there is a great beach and park nearby.
