We have a friend visiting from the UK. Since there hasn't been much snow and it was a sunny day, Othello Tunnels would be a beautiful short walk. However, the tunnels are closed, gated off. Closed due to potential rock fall. You can park and...More

A bit of a drive to get there from downtown vancouver so bring a lunch and prepare to spend a couple of hours walking through the tunnels - very cool place to visit - remember to bring a jacket if your going in the spring/fall...More

We visited the Othello Tunnels in early September of 2018. Have been in the region several times previously and never heard about these tunnels until a young clerk happened to mention that she loved going there. I have to say we were quite impressed at...More

Caves were gated to due to public safety. Would have scored higher if could have accessed them. Take a flashlight if you are able to get in.

While staying in hope our friend suggested that we take a walk around and through the tunnels. It was a definite highlight of our weekend. The weather was amazing and there were many people (so get there early to find parking). It is definitely worth...More

Went here quite late in the afternoon, which mean't it got dark very quickly. I'd recommend going earlier in the day and bringing your camera. However I did capture some creepy/ghostly looking photos in the tunnel which might make going late in the day appealing...More

Visiting friends who live in Agasizz BC and they took us to this stunning place. Thoroughly enjoyed our walk through these tunnels which was assisted by our friends fetching a small torch light to aid our walk. Felt like I had been involved in a...More

Striking! Couldn't even imagine the life of the workers who risked their lives to create these tunnels.

Before reaching the Tunnels, there is a 15 minute trail walk, you will walk along a river, look for an opening on the left side to walk down. Down right beside the river you can take beautiful, Instagram-able pictures of the river, rocks, and landscape....More

These tunnels are in the Coquihalla Gorge and are an amazing feat of engineering, so they are also in a stunning setting. A little uneven underfoot in places but manageable without torches. Well worth the visit.

There is a parking area, however not sure about the coach. As far as I can remember it should be ok. You can always park on the road and walk a short distance to the tunnels .
