Kicking Horse has attracted rave reviews after just seven seasons for its awesome vertical, deep powder and spectacular terrain mix. With an express gondola accessing over 4100 ft (1260m) of vertical, you’re bound to ski and ride an impressive feat of terrain comparable to only that of heli-skiing. Coupled with summer activities such as mountain biking, wildlife education, and alpine sightseeing, this is a place where the stories are almost too tall to believe.

Love-love this resort!

It's a very nice resort that has great snow conditions while not being very crowded like other resorts nearby. Absolutely love it there!

Kids and myself have fun on the mountains after a problem with tickets purchase. They will sell online tickets 20% cheeper then at the site . I paid 188$ for one day and two children but 2 days on site will be 550$ crazy expensive I will not be back anytime soon.

An uncommercial Canadian ski resort. Expect it to be busy at weekends and on powder days. But brilliant snow and lots of vertical to ski. Back country is good here with all sorts of gems tucked away but accessible with a short hike and still within the ski boundary. You can get here from Banff on the powder express for... More

Kicking horse has some of the best in bound terrain ive ever been on. if you like steep, if you like snow, if you like adrenaline, this is your place. Groomers do a good job as well, so kudos to them. By far our favourite mountain!

I always come here if heading west to avoid the crowds at Louise and Sunshine fantastic terrain and snow and the views are... More

Get across to Golden on a Powder Day like we did today & you won't regret it. Steep, deep & what I'd describe as Expert to very Expert terrain as a whole. A few novice areas but these are built as a means to get back to the lodge. Do a snow dance.

For years we have been travelling 2 hours up the valley to Golden then up the mountain to Kicking Horse to ride the Gondola up to the Eagles Eye Restaurant to enjoy a lovely lunch with a breathtaking view. We have a large family and there is rarely less than 5 of us going up to the Eagles Eye. The... More

If like dropping into BIG STEEP Bowls this place is for you! We really enjoyed the exploring and the skiing on wide open slopes, jumping in where ever the pitch and your head could work together! Only negative was - due to the lack of trees "Flat light" or "White out" is an issue - take your low light lenses!... More

I have skiied Kicking Horse for five seasons now, but am truly disappointed with my experience this year. The resort website posted a over a meter of base, yet the small forest on lower elevation ski runs either belies their snow base estimate, or they have been skimping on run maintenace. Theu also need two more chairs to reduce crowds... More
