About
The market is always a weekly delight for the senses. It awakens a sleepy Saturday with beautiful sights, sounds and delicious smells. Throughout the 2019 season, the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market will host a variety of performers, musicians and fun activities for the whole family. This takes place alongside a diverse array of local food producers, growers and artisans offering their hand-crafted, home-made, locally-grown and produced items. The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market has become so much more than a place to shop. It’s a place to connect with friends, to celebrate local business and farming, and to stroll with no set agenda. It is a place to learn things and meet people. The market provides an opportunity to surround yourself in Kootenay culture and enjoy the abundance of flavours, textures and talents it has given root to.

This market has a great selection of super fresh local produce. There is live music and wine tasting too. I always try to make here on Saturdays for this market.

You will see fresh farmer grown fruits and vegetables. Local wine, cider, and spirits. Tasty homemade snacks. Lovely broad street lined with booths for easy strolling. Lots of variety, friendly faces, and genuine Rast Kootenay spirit. Highly recommended.

To be honest there were a few vendors that had decent prices. Got a nice toque for $10. However, prices for baked goods were outrageous. In talking with other people some were willing to pay the high prices because it was a "treat". Others would not pay those prices. This is a farmers market not a Disneyland attraction. It also seemed that a number of vendors had parked in the close parking stalls and did not move. It made it more challenging for seniors and less mobile people to get in as they had to park further away. We are lobing the toque though. So yes there are some reasonable vendors.

Stop by the market for a delicious cup of coffee or iced cappuccino, a custom ordered savoury crepe prepared before your very eyes topped off with a crisp apple. And then, choose from a variety of fresh produce and baked goods to take home. Also, browse and choose from a wide collection of local artisan wares for gifting or to pamper yourself. You are also very likely to meet friends and neighbours and enjoy sharing a sunny day.

Made a point of going to Cranbrook Farmer's Market as we had been there two years ago. This trip did not disappoint! Ft. Steel Farms had the most lucious vegetables I have seen in some time! Fresh breads and buns filled the air with mouth watering scents as well. Lots of pepperoni, jerky and sausage from Fernie! Lucious peaches and other soft fruits. Tried two appetizing meads from Pommier Ranch in Skookumchuck - looks like they will be a hit. Would have also purchased some beautiful bouquets except we were still two days away from home. Nice touch was the multicultural show which was also in the park. This is one of the better markets in the Kootenays.

The farmers market in Cranbrook is always a treat to go to. A good show of local products, foods and art. Everyone is always very friendly, and during the summers it's held outdoors where you can always bring your pets and there's the splash park and playground right next door.

Saturday mornings in the summer, this is where to get your fresh veggies, fruits, baked goods, crafts and handmade goods. Just a lovely way to go shopping and meet your friends and find dinner or one of a kind gifts.

I would like to thank you all the people who take their time and go and sell their produce and products in our local Famers market. It's make every Saturday morning special for me. You can get a fresh vegetables and fruits, locally make vines or sausages. Beautiful ceramics, pictures, wood carvings or jewelry.
