This has a great collection of actual rail cars from differnt eras and some local history of Cranbrook. For kids there are working model trains set up that are vistor activated.

This is a must do if your travelling in the Cranbrook area. Open year round and well worth the time to stop and take a tour. If your lucky you will catch one of the many events held in the beautiful Royal Alexandra Hall.

We didn't take the paid train tour, and that might upgrade our review. The building's furnishings and furniture are beautiful! We enjoyed the luxury. The history part of the museum was mostly panels with information; would be nice to have a little video instead. Definitely...More

They offer three levels of tour from 1-2 hours. Also allow time for the station museum.
