About
I-Hos Gallery presents a collection of traditional and contemporary Northwest Coast artwork, including masks, prints, gold and silver jewelry, wood carvings and more produced by First Nations artists. I-Hos Gallery is Band owned and operated by K'omoks First Nation. Our culture is expressed through our art. We are located between Courtenay and Comox on Vancouver Island, on the site of the original K’omoks Village. We deal directly with all of our First Nation artists and provide you with all legends and artist biographies. I-Hos Gallery is Band owned and operated by K'omoks First Nations and has been est. since 1995.

If you appreciate PNW indigenous art, this gallery is worth a visit. Whether you are actively shopping or “just looking”, the gallery has lots to offer with a wide variety of tasteful merchandise and helpful staff to assist you. Reasonably priced, they have merchandise to fit almost any budget . There are some very nice, unique pieces, however, I would not characterize the gallery as “high end” or “fine art”. Jewelry, clothing, carvings, prints, small sculptures, books, children’s items and more! You will be tempted!

I just had the BEST experience with I-Hos Gallery. I placed an order online, and Ramona went above and beyond for customer service.
If you're in the position to do some online shopping, I encourage you to keep I-Hos Gallery in mind for their quality of goods, amazing customer service, and you're supporting a small business - you won't be disappointed!!

Every time I visit Courtenay, Comox, I always visit the I-Hos gallery. If you like Aboriginal Art and jewelry, you will like this gallery. They have something for everyone in different price ranges. I especially like their assortment of prints and art cards which make wonderful souvenirs.

Wonderful, authentic and traditional items to gift to others or yourself. I purchased 2 carved silver rings and very happy with the assistance received and quality of the items, and the great price. From moccasins to masks, great selection and quality products.

The I-Hos Gallery was a destination on a recent trip to Vancouver Island. The items available were fabulous and I spent more money that planned on an assortment of gifts for grandchildren (and treats for self!)

If ever I am unsure of what to get as gifts for anybody this is my go to. They have a large selection, and a unique selection at that. Something for everybody. My favourite purchase would be my moccasins. I wear them every day and last me up to around 3 years, well worth the investment. The staff who work here really know what they are doing, they know lots about the local culture. Never worried about leaving here empty handed!

Local and carefully selected Aboriginal artists lovely displays of their jewellery, masks, paintings and prints, paddles, weaving (love Christina Cox's work). K'omoks art by Andy and Randy are well stocked. Love the clothing, shoes and books! Even have purchased beautifully designed glass frames, scarf, journal, serving spoon and travel mugs for myself and as gifts. November sale is definitely worth while time to shop.
Beautiful setting .. Also this is the place for buying retirement gifts etc for employees and friends .. I received some and loved it!

We run a vacation rental near the Goose Spit in Comox and refer our visitors to the IHos Gallery. On this occasion, I invited our visitors from France to catch a ride with me, I could interpret and provide transportation to Courtenay while I ran my own errands. We stopped in to the gallery where they found some unique gifts and souvenirs. The next day, one of our guests discovered in the evening (way past closing) that her credit card and driver's license were not in her bag. We left a phone message and sent an email to the manager of the gallery to ask if they might have found these items. It was very important to have them before opening hours because they were scheduled to leave by bus for their next destination. The manager, Ramona, was kind enough to respond immediately and return to the gallery to go look for the items, they had been discovered in the parking lot. Our guest is leaving the Comox Valley with her cards and an incredible sense of gratitude to all involved. I'm sure she will sleep well tonight.
The gallery appeals to all because of their selection and the friendly service, we always stop there for host gifts as well when we travel abroad. We will continue to be loyal customers and will proudly recommend the IHos Gallery, they go above and beyond for their clients, near and far.

Island Native Art work on display for sale. Clothing, moccasins, paintings, jewellery and more by local artists . Reasonable priced.
