Stayed at the park while visiting castlegar for one night! We really enjoyed our stay, the sites were clean, spaced well, and the park is great! Visit and do some of the hikes in the park including tulip falls! Only reason for a star off is cause we had loud neighbors till about 1am and there was no one that came around as security...I would definitely stay again tho and pray for better neighbors!

Syringa Provincial Park is just north of Castlegar on the Lower Arrow Lake. My family went for a week at the end of August and most days shared the beach with less than 20 people.

We stayed in the Bighorn electrical sites (photo below) which are less private than the main campground sites. Besides the electricity the other advantage is the day use beach and dog beach is close by which has the best sandy beach in the park. The main campground beach looked rather rocky. The day use bathroom had showers and was fairly clean.

The lake was rather cold and some days was windy by the water.

My family enjoyed hiking to the lookout in the trail by the main gate. Great view of the lake. (Photo below)

We had never camped in the Kootney Region before but were taken away by the beauty and quietness of the area. We even saw a family of wild Turkeys walking in the park.

Castlegar was a fun day trip and we also explored the waterfall slide up the logging road from the campground.

We went to Syring Park as that is one of our favorite places to RV on June 10th 2020 till June 12. It was a very disapointing visit this time. We were in site 30 and the neighbors were in site 32. All we heard was a kid screaming from the time she got up till past midnight the whole time we were there. I went to complain and was told basically they could not do anything about it. They would not even go talk to them to let them know there child was making so much noise. We were offered another spot but not on the side of the lake that we wanted. I don't think we will EVER visit this park again. It's to bad because we really like it there and have always enjoyed our time there.

We camp here every year. It is a wonderful campground. The local wildlife includes bears, sheep and an array of birds. Great Lake with lots to do.

The campground is clean the sites are nice, the sites on the lake side of the road are much better though. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The whole experience was fantastic except for the many pieces of broken glass we found on the beach.

Great place for a campfire and gathering of friends. Scenery is beautiful, water is clean, and so is the beach. Nice and quiet too!

The Arrow lake is very wonderful and a big body of water. The beach at Syringa Provincial Park is older and could use a cleanup maybe in the early spring or fall. Over grown grass at the begin of the walk to the main beach and not much sand. This park area could use a facelift.

Syringa is a beautiful small park on the Arrow Lakes. There are 3 Campgrounds to start at and the best has to be the Main Campground. Sites are well trees and set apart. About a third of the sites back directly onto Arrow Lake and are a stones throw to the beach. The park has a playground and several shorter hiking trails to try.

Power sites are available, but are coral style and very open. This year we were disappointed due to a Boil Water requirement from all taps in the park. During our visit the showers and washrooms near the power sites were closed due to a maintenance breakdown. The operator should have offered a small reimbursement for no showers and flush toilets, but instead told campers to contact BC Parks, who in turn told campers to contact the operator. A bit of a run around.

Beaches are large and wide, offering campers lots of opportunities to cool off on hot days.
