This is one of my favourite lakes! Have visited 4 or 5 times when visiting friends in Campbell River, BC. It is only 15 minutes to paradise. Sandy beaches, surrounded by picturesque pines. Water was warm enough to swim in July Long weekend 2017. Next trip was August 4 and it was wonderfully refreshing. Parking can be a challenge on hot weekends. Drive past the smaller turn offs, to a main sand parking lot. There is a washroom here. The beach is down a slight slope. Bring your toys! Boats cannot access this area. But there are boat lauches before you hit the main beach. No concession stands so bring your own drinks/snacks and remember...what you bring in, make sure you take out! …

I come here often to test boats and to get away for a weekend swim. has some nice beaches too. Just north of campbell River

We took a drive and had a short walk around the lake. Lots of other patrons launching boats, swimming and canoeing. Ample parking and easily accessible from the nearby town of Campbell river.

A real family lake with the park entrance about two miles down the road ( Gold River direction) from the climb up General Hill. The road is narrow and paved, but there are numerous entrances to the lake and it’s bays on the left. We were there yesterday land the. Day before. I prefer the end parking as the lake is closer and shade is available. We sat in our chairs and read with the odd dip into the clean water off the sandy beach. If it is a weekend get there early with your chairs and coolers and umbrella for shade. Lots of children and dogs ( I hope the owners clean up after them). Ken…
