Scott is a great captain who makes the day enjoyable and knows how to find the fish. Boat and fishing gear were clean and solid. Scott was personable and worked hard to find and land fish. We caught our limit of salmon and had a memorable day on the water.

Scott was awesome, very personable and knowledgeable. He took us out for five hours, and we managed 4 keeper salmon, and quite a few that were just undersized. The boat and equipment were top quality and Scott knew all the hot spots.

We had a great charter with Scott today. The boat and captain are exceptional. Scott made sure he did everything to get us fish, even stayed a little longer and got us a double header. Highly recommend Riptide, best fishing experience I've had on the west coast. Thanks Scott!

We had a great time with Scott!!! Very knowledgeable and friendly with all of us! He especially made our kids ages 11 and 12 feel like part of the crew talking with them like grow ups. Much appreciated. He catered to our suggestions and ideas. Not his agenda. We had a fantastic day.
PS: Don’t bring bananas, Captain Scott will give you a good lecture about it! Very entertaining! 😜🍌🎣🛥🤣

I totally concur with Eric L.
The fishing with Captain Scott was EXCELLENT!
He is a friendly person and very knowledgeable of the fishing area locally.
We chartered the boat with Captain Scott for 10 hours.
It was a beautiful sunny day [25+ Deg.C] and calm waters.
After catching our fish limit early, Captain Scott took us whale watching nearby. What a BONUS on our fishing trip.
On our return, Captain Scott cleaned and packed our fish at the dock while feeding a couple of local seals hanging around. Captain Scott also recommended a local restaurant where they were able to cook one of our fresh catch of the day for our dinner that night to round off the day.
Given the opportunity, I would definitely do it again and strongly recommend Riptide Charters with Captain Scott. The boat Kratzsea is ideal for 4 adults fishing.

I can't say enough great things about Captain Scotty! This was our first time fishing in Campbell River, my research lead me to choose Riptide Fishing Charters to which this Scotty delivered on every aspect of the trip. Scotty's years of experience shined through taking us from spot to spot answering all of our questions and landing us fish after fish maxing out on our limits on Chinook and Rock Cod. Scotty is a true professional who made us feel like we were a bunch of friends. Highly recommended we will definitely be back!

Our March trip, while a little colder than our previous summer trips, was a fantastic experience on the beautiful west coast. Snow capped mountains all around were a spectacular setting while we had great success with the fishing. The plentiful salmon and prawns were enhanced by the chance to share it with someone who carries such knowledge, love, and respect for the environment.

Hello
Thank you very much for spending a portion of your holidays with us. You are a lot of fun to fish with. I love fishing in the winter here in Camobell River. The air and water are both crystal clear. The fish are strong and feisty, and oh so tasty. Have a safe trip home and I’m sure we’ll see you soon.
Thank you again

We wanted to catch a salmon for our dinner and hoped to see whales. With the help of Scott, our captain, we managed both. It was an unforgettable experience!
When we actually saw the two whales, we were thrilled! The boat stopped at a proper distance and then something unbelievable happened - both whales set course for our boat. They swam around the boat and under it. Scott carefully tried to get some distance to the animals. He was very worried, he didn't want to hurt them. But the animals just followed the boat for quite a while.
We were very impressed with Scott's prudence in not harming the whales. MUCH THANKS!
If you want to visit Campbell River and go fishing or see whales, we recommend you do it with Scott. It is a lot of fun and you are in good hands on Scott's boat. We could convince ourselves of that.
Greetings to Scott from Katrin, Erik, Diana and Thomas!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed two day trips with Captain Scott who proved to be a true professional. He was very patient with my wife who was salmon fishing for the first time. He has a great personality and a wonderful knowledge of local fishing spots and conditions. The fishing was exciting and made enjoyable. Captain Scott cleaned our fish for us.We will plan another trip next year and bring family members along

My wife and I had a great morning on the water with Captain Scott. He was knowledgable and caring. In addition, we managed to see Orca, Humpback, Seal, Sealion and Porpoises too. A great morning.
