We did this excursion in family. Gary was wonderful, he was attentive at all times and even though our English is not very good, it was very easy to understand him and he gave us many explanations. We were able to see seals, sea lions, 5 orcas and even a bear. I recommend it 100%. Thank you Gary for making us have such a wonderful day, we will never forget it.

This was our 4th trip out with Gary, first one 2012-2014-2019 and now 2023 and all of them absolutely amazing! Saw Orca, Humpbacks, and i love the information on the local water currents! His passion for wildlife matches mine, so thankyou Gary, and keep taking care of the wildlife

We had a TOP experience, thanks to Garry our host.
His knowledge, enthusiasm and humor accompanied all the spectacular sightings we had. Orcas, jumping humpbacks, dolphins, bald eagles, seals and sea lions. On top of that, traveling through rapid currents with vortexes made this tour amazing. Thank you Garry.

We had perfect weather to start with waters so calm. We saw 2 pods of Orcas, but the hi light was when 3 Humpbacks popped up right next to us!
Gary was great as our tour leader, giving us not only whale info but tales of the currents and seas. Lovely to see someone so passionate on his subject.

Absolutely brilliant day with Garry and his boat. He was very knowledgable and explained everything.

We saw Hump back whales, seals and sea lions and a group of small dolphins.

Lunch from the local bakery was fantastic too

Definitely top marks for this tour and company

I booked this tour based on the reviews that i had read & also from the pictures on their website, the tour on the water was brilliant we saw orcas, dolphins, porpoise, humpbacks & seals & sea lions all brilliant but when i booked this tour it was with the main intention off going to look for bears which is what the website with pictures claims to do, but when we got there & the tour guide Garry got talking he said that he had stopped doing the bear tours about 3yrs ago that was news to me as i book this tour in February 2023, so if you want to see bears i would not recommend this company. This was a bucket list trip & probably the last long haul that we will do as our healths are not so good these days, so a good day out on the water but also a let down as i mainly wanted to see the bears. They need to state on their website that they no longer do bear tours.

Half a year in advance I had booked a tour with Garry for the end of May for me, my pregnant wife and my 3 year old son. Everything was uncomplicated and thanks to Laura also very relaxed, as she had a quick answer to all questions!

On site, we were lucky enough to be alone with Garry on his boat and enjoy the trip on the ocean for 3 1/2 hours. And what can I say: We left the harbour and not even 10 minutes later we had 2 humpback whales in front of us, which kept showing themselves and through Garry's experience we could actually watch them for about 30 minutes. At the end, both of them jumped completely out of the water: a goosebump moment!

The time with Garry on the boat was very pleasant. We had great conversations, he told us a lot about nature and the indigenous people living in this area. Also about his personal story of how he became an expert wildlife watcher. In every word he spoke you could feel his passion to bring others closer to this beautiful nature. Most of all, I was fascinated by the enthusiasm when Garry - who is out at sea "every day" - was able to report a successful animal sighting. He was really happy about every water bird or sea lion as if he was seeing them for the first time! The knowledge about each animal, the intuitive feeling when the perfect moment for a photo comes... We could have spent the whole day on the water with Garry.

With smaller children, however, the 3 1/2 hour tour is definitely enough, as our son made clear to us shortly before the end of the excursion. ;)

Shortly before the end, Garry drove to the house of his father-in-law, who then also waved in a friendly manner. :) Best regards at this point to Daniel Billy, we hope he is alright!

I can and will really recommend the tour with Garry to everyone! I have already been on a few wildlife watching tours and I have rarely experienced it as passionately as with Garry!

Dear Garry: Thank you very, very much for a wonderful trip and I loved how you always integrated my son and really got him involved. He is still talking about this trip almost 3 months later. It has been 3 1/2 really unforgettable hours for us and I hope that in the coming years we will go on a trip across the sea with you again - than with 4 of us. :)

Until then, I wish you, Laura and your father-in-law all the best!
Best wishes from Germany,
Ralf (with Melanie and Leon)

Cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We had the most fabulous day on the water and were fortunate to have some amazing wildlife encounters. Garry was a knowledgeable captain and guide who clearly loved the area and respected the animals. As described on their website, it was a small group tour by a family owned and run business and we learned so much about the area and the marine life. Thank you for this experience.

In a covered boat we spend the day looking for whales and orcas. Gary our tour guide did not let us down. we saw all of them. next to groups of salmon, and seals and experienced the power of the river when the tide made whirlpools. The boat was great and covered us from rain in the morning. when the whales or orcas were near we could go outside on the back of the boat. I went with our daughter and my wife and all of us had a great day. I would highly recommend this trip if you have the chance.

We went on a 5 hour trip at the beginning of July (and you need 5 hours to do the area justice) all round the islands and waterways of Campbell River with Garry and it was truly amazing. As a local company his knowledge and dedication to the welfare of the animals we encountered was truly heart warming. There was no hard sell and no photos to buy at the end, which was very refreshing. There was so much to see and we were astonished at the breath taking scenery and even lucky enough to see a mama bear and her cub. There are not enough words to describe how special this trip was and 5 stars are not enough. Thank so much Garry, for making our trip so special.
