Absolutely fantastic tour! Very professional crew and tour guides, stellar scenery, and thrilling beyond words to be able to quietly watch multiple grizzly bears feasting on salmon for several hours at waters edge less than 100 feet across the river from our viewing platforms. The guides were very knowlegable and safety conscious and made sure we stayed in a tight... More

Discovery Marine Safaris, and their sister company Stubbs Whale Watching, are first rate. From the check-in to end-of-daydeparture, the staff is friendly and professional. We were especially lucky that our tour was on a picture-perfect day and was a small group of about 15 people plus crew. We left Campbell River at noon and went through the fjords of BC... More

My wife and I went with Discovery marine safaris on 23 September 16 and had a fantastic experience seeing at least 9 Grizzlies on the Homalco nation land with two of their guides Herby and Michael . Special thanks to Sue and Chris the Captain , Sue was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable but not only that she really looked... More

We went on the grizzly bear watch, which is a seven or eight hour epic, but also saw orcas up close as well as dolphins, two types of eagle and much more. The day consists of a 2½ hour ride in a covered boat (with outdoor decks) followed by 2½ hour being taken around various locations where bears are likely... More

Two hour boat trip through magnificent scenery up to Bute River where the local Homalco guides joined John and Sue from Discovery Marine to find us some bears. We were with them 3 to 4 hours and it was magical to watch a mother and cub hunting for salmon together just yards away and an older male grizzly having a... More

took the grizzly expedition and had one of the nicest days of our trip to the island...the trip to the inlet was gorgous through the many islands..saw a humpback going...only lucky enough to see 4 bears that day but was still great...saw porpoise and stellar sea lions on the way back...would do it again

Both the guide and the captain were very knowledgeable and certainly it made the difference having someone explaining the wildlife and their habitat. Extra effort was made to see an orca which was appreciated. And the beauty of nature was a wonderful natural enjoyment. Also, the lunch provided was excellent and as a gluten intolerant individual can't say enough about... More

We went on a whale watching trip. Our guides Captain John and Johanna were really great and friendly. They explained a lot and did their best to make it a great trip for everyone. The boat is comfortable and has indoor and outdoor viewing possibilities. We did see two humpback whales and got short glimpses on dolphins and porpoises. In... More
