Elk Falls Provincisl Park is an easy hike to see the fall. If you have a dog, note the metal stairways so the suspension bridge. Instead, take them to the opposite way to another platform where you have a better view and hike.

The construction along the waterfront is complete. A bit of landscaping left as of 25 July 2021. It's a great place to walk, ebike, jog, cycle. Today I saw seals, bald eagles, salmon jumping, orcas, and people. Lots of people out on the beaches and tidal pools. You'll never be thirsty either because there's free water along the way, washrooms, coffee shops and even an uncoffee shop(Tim Hortons).

Campbell River is a beautiful laid back community with everything an outdoors person could want. A great place to retire. The famous Sea Walk stretches for miles along the eastern shore of Vancouver Island which is likely what put the icing on the cake for my decision to retire to this amazing City. Just one problem. Four years ago construction began placing new sewers, water lines and other infrastructure along the roadway and sea walk. It has been a total mess ever since.
Four years is too long. It's time it was done. Until it is, I could not recommend the city as a destination for tourism or retirement. Written May 3, 2020

The seawalk stretches along beautiful beaches and awesome scenery from below the 1st street hill to Frank James Park 4 km away.....along the way there are a couple of pit toilets and one flush restroom so its quite convenient for all.

We walked on the walkway and the pier at the marina every evening of our stay in Campbell River. On the pier we watched fishers catch salmon the old fashioned way and ate ice cream from the shop on the pier. ($3 for 2 huge scoops!)

A beautiful way to get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful scene of the discovery passage,, watching the wildlife the whole way! Take advantage of this easy, flat walk that you can join anywhere along the highway 19a as you enter Campbell River. Eagles, dolphins, porpoise and whales are frequently spotted as you walk along the waterfront.

Love the peaceful walk. Beautiful scenery. Great spot to watch the cruise ships go by. Always time to venture around. Never a rush to do anything on the Island. Most of the time, it is very laid back.

Credit to the local Rotary club for the work that they have done but massive construction work stopped us after less than a mile and to that point the walk had been pleasant but no more. We drove further in to Campbell River and parked again. The walk was a little better but is more of a path by the road with nice views rather than a sea walk.

Whom ever had the foresight to design and see this remarkable walkway built, truly was a visionary in the way Campbell River should develop. Every year we come here, we walk on different parts and truly enjoy the exercise, the views and all the sites along the way this walkway has to offer. There are numerous parking spots at different intervals and several well looked after washroom facilities. “Hats off to you Campbell River”

I found this trail a great opportunity to walk off the long drive from down island. Park at Frank James Park if coming from the south. Extends I'm not sure how far (24 long blocks?) into downtown Campbell River. The views of the ocean to the east with snow-capped mountains in the background was both stimulating and beautiful. The Old Island Highway is right there to the west, but perhaps because of the way the wind was blowing, I hardly heard the traffic. Thanks Rotary people!
