Chinook Honey Company is an apiary nestled in the Calgary foothills. The honey boutique includes many honey made treats including ice cream, jams, jellies, sauces and body care products and apitherapy items. A live observation hive gives an insight into the fascinating world of bees and helpful staff will gladly answer any questions. Chinook Arch Meadery offers free mead (honey wine) tasting. Learn how this ancient beverage is made. Organized tours available ($).

Great stop just outside of Okotoks on the way to Turner Valley.
Nice shop with great ice cream. They have several tables outside that you can enjoy a nice ice cream cone overlooking the foothills to the west.

Great stop if you are in the area. They produce their own honey (all natural). There is a little path beside the store where you can learn about bees (great for kids). There are flowers with working bees everywhere you can even hear their buzzing sound.
I always buy honey cream, regular honey, and pollen ( which is rich in protein).
They serve honey ice cream and there is a picnic area beside the store where you can sit, let the kids play, and enjoy the view of the foothills.
Now, in Aug.2021, they are serving drinks and local beers made with honey as well.
They have an online store with very affordable prices.

Cherie and Art, the owners of this beautiful company visited us in our B & B. They show us some of their products and we ordered a few. And I'm very happy we did. Honey with different flavour, propolis, honey vine and much more. Thank you for making this products available to us! Love Mirka and Dennis

I've been a repeat customer of Chinook Honey for several years. Actually drive out from Calgary. The reason I keep returning is the superb quality of their products and the genuine sincerity of the staff and owners. Every month I look forward to the newsletter and introduction of new products, especially the honey mixes and jams and jellies. It's a country store setting with a flair for the unique. Definitely stop in here! It’s a few short minutes south of Okotoks and it has the BEST lavender ice cream I’ve ever tasted, not to mention the amazing selection of wines, OMG THE WINE (mead)!
They do taste sampling for the meads and I always buy a few bottles. They have a terrific selection of honey products, sauces, jellies, wax candles, and way too many other things to mention. Their prices are very good! The staff is wonderful and love to see you. You won’t be disappointed stopping in here. Very kid friendly!

Beautiful setting, great products, interesting educational info, tasting opportunities for adults and kids, room to run around and picnic. And ice cream! An great stop when you are touring the foothills.

We buy honey from the Honey Farm. We choose the liquid honey which my wife uses for baking. She bakes banana bread and or cookies using the honey. Everything is delicious.

Excellent customer service. Friendly assistance. Always look forward to The Christmas Party here. Lots of great activities for kids ... and adults .. for a small fee. Learn a lot about bees, honey and mead. Great place to get stocking stuffers for that person who has everything.

We do sell Beeswax sheets for candle making here at Chinook Honey Company. They do require warming to become more pliable to create candles and are priced at $2.95 per sheet
