It was fun to walk across the Rosedale Suspension Bridge. It provided a great view of the river and an opportunity to chat with other travellers.

We took a walk across the bridge. There's a good photo opportunity for shots facing up and down the river, with the hills behind.

This is a pretty neat bridge - but it only goes to private property across the river so there isn't much else to see. It is an insight into the history of the area. I am told by a friend from the area that you...More

The Rosedale suspension bridge is a free attraction with free parking. We arrived as a school bus of high schoolers arrived, as we went out on the bridge they followed and jumped and jumped and jumped. Not for the feint of heart as the sway...More

The bridge very well fits the atmosphere of deserted badlands in a mining region. Visited on a bright crispy winter day, this place had a nice atmosphere. Most likely you will spend just a few minutes here but it is worth stopping by and crossing...More

When on a Drumheller excursion and this was one of the stops. It is an interesting bit of history and also a unique way to experience a suspension bridge spanning the Red Deer River. On the other side there are trails that you can meander...More

We returned to Rosedale with a lock this year and added it to the bridge. The suspension bridge is well maintained and a worthwhile tourist attraction. .

It is a little off the highway (I'd say about a kilometre) but on a paved road in a nice residential community. The parking lot is also paved (very nice!) and there are lots of big trees about to get some relief from the sun....More

I imagine it would still be safe to go on the bridge but I would not venture past it on the other side. The metal will likely be slippery so I would advise caution.
