I went with 3 teen / young adults. Even though it was hotter than a pot of boiling water we enjoyed the short walk through the town to the Chateau, climbing around the top and the various reenactments. Good to combine with Carrieres des Lumieres...More

Special and different. Audio tour was wonderful. Trebuchet launch also quite fun as was the archery practice area.

A fine 10 minutes walk from the Carrières de Lumieres, through the lovely Les Baux village, will get you to the remainders of the once proud castle. Excellent views and interesting exhibition.

The Chateau is a great place, especially for families with kids. Saw the trebuchet demonstration, which was amazing. They also had demonstrations going in the small workshops on stone carving, and metalsmiths. Really beautiful views and grounds. The town is lovely as well, so it...More

Beauty, history and a lovely little town. It's a must if you're in this area! This is a fortress on top of the hill. You can get an audio guide to tell you everything about the place. Bring a hat because it is hot in...More

The view is outstanding and we saw a photography exhibit related to the Picasso show at the Carrieres de Lumiere. We were lucky to enter at the time they were about to shoot the trebuchet. I’d recommend timing your visit so you can see this....More

In high heat season, we decided to make this an early stop to avoid crowds and heat. Arrived @ 845, and meandered to the ticket office @ 9 for opening. Had the entire chateau to ourselves for the first 45 minutes. Wonderful descriptions (in French)...More

We recently toured the Chateau on a school trip with 42 people. We had 1.5 hours, and it was NOT enough time. From the outer fortifications up to the castle, this is a must-see. The narrow streets are lined with boutiques and cafes, the scenery...More

Great Fort to explore. Adults and kids all enjoyed it. We got a combined ticket which worked well. Glad of areas or shade and an ice cream to cool off in the heat.

Hi. There are two main attractions. The light exhibit and the chateau itself. You can get right in front of the light exhibit’s door by car and walk in. This is flat and easily accessible. I would recommend a visit for... More

You cannot drive all the way up to the Chateau but you can get pretty close! There is public parking for a fee. Carrieres de Lumieres is very close by - no need to move your car! I believe Sundays get quite busy. The... More
