This is not a hot tourist spot and it is quite far away from Seoul. It has some river and waterfall views and in autumn the maple trees change colours. To see the waterfall (Jikso Waterfall) from the observation lookout one has to walk up some a fairly steep and rocky path. Good exercise and plenty of fresh air, hence... More

Byeonsanbando (bando means a penisular) National Park is the only peninsula based park in Korea with a mix of mountains and sea. Byeonsan Penisular is divided into the mountain called Naebyeonsan (Inner Byeonsan) and the coastal area Oebyeonsan (Outer Byeonsan). Naebyeosan consists of rhyolite which was created through eruptions in the Cretaceous period. Stratifications are also clearly noticeable on Chaeseokgang... More

CY ( 2015.12.30 ) The Byeonsanbando National Park was wide park and devided some district. There had mountain, sea, temple and various attraction. I and my wife visited Naesosa Temple area, there had temple and path with beautiful view and fresh air. I wanted to look around all district, but I didn't had much time. There was good national park.

This is a relatively small area for maple leaf sighting and photography in South Korea, but you will not be disappointed on the right day especially if there is good sunshine. Since this is not the top location for the purposes in this nation, you will not readily find a huge crowd blocking your sight or spoiling your photographic mood... More

The drive from Buan to the beach in Gyeokpo is beautiful as it winds through Byeonsan National Park. There is a hiking trail that runs all the way along the road the curves by the sea too.

We stopped by this park to see Jikso Falls, but have now decided to come back and visit it in the future. Great place to spend the day at, with beach camping sites located about thirty minutes away. The only cost was parking, 2,000 KRW, but otherwise it was completely free. I did not see any buses out to this... More

Snow makes the park even more beautiful... Visit Naesosa and Chaeseokgang, two places are a must see if you are around.
