About
Located in the beautiful Eastern Townships, the Cep d'Argent vineyard offers quality wines and numerous memorable touristic tours. Enjoy the exceptional view on the Magog River and on the vines' field where the hard work from the Scieur brothers paid off magnificently. Le Cep d'Argent, lovechild of two passionate French wine growers, is the oldest vineyard in the Estrie region.

Excellent a la carte wine tasting
We stayed in Magog and drove 20min to get to Le Cep d'Argent vineyard for a wine tasting and it was a very positive experience. You purchase your tickets outside for the wines you want to taste ($1 per coupon and each wine is anywhere from $1 to $4). There were two of us, so we got all different ones and shared, which maximized the amount we could taste! It was very well organized, with tastings taking place inside, adhering to all COVID requirements (mask inside while walking around, but can take it off to taste the wines and chat with your friends). Service was offered easily in French and English. We had a number of wines we liked and ended up purchasing 7 bottles :) Though a current promotion now is if you purchase 11 bottles, you get the 12th free! The grounds were very nice to walk around in as well; we highly recommend this wine tasting!

    Excellence, all around
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent group visit to this winery, even on a terrible day of weather. The tasting and tour was modified to our needs, and we couldn't have been happier. We were able to sample five different products, all of which were outstanding. One of our group was chosen to saber a 'sparkling wine' bottle, as well. The boutique is well-stocked, and prices are very, very fair, especially for the quality of the product. My highlights include the Selection Brut Nature, Selection Rose, and Cep D'Argent White. Absolutely fantastic. And The Tower is a brilliant and innovative idea, great for gifts or sampling multiple products. I have never seen one before, but I am sure the idea will get copied by other wineries. We would love to return during summer and really take in all of the beauty.

    Best vineyard ever !
My boyfriend and I loved the taste test and to walk through the vines. We had bought a ticket to combine the taste test with the visit of Bleu Lavande. What a day and what an experience. The whole day I felt as if I was in France. The owners of the vineyard were there on site and were there to talk to us and present their products. We loved all their wines. Our favorite is the Sparkling Rosé. Just be aware that there is no snacks being served with the tasting. So try to eat before you go there otherwise the bubbles will go to your head! If you look for their products after the visit, they sell in all grocery store, not the SAQ.

Very popular winery, but we found it to be a bit of a cash grab. You must pay for wine glasses if you want to sample the wines, and then pay for each wine sample as well. A small sample of ice wine will cost you $4, other wines are $2 and $3 per sample. The owner provided the samples and they were quite small amounts compared to other sampling experiences we have had. Having said that, the wines were very nice. The wines in the store were not stored in a climate controlled environment, don’t know if that matters at all, will find out when we open the couple of bottles we bought. It was hard to get any info on the wines as the person serving samples spoke French only and our French is pretty limited. We tried but our poor French was not understood.

it was quite busy when I was there and the staff were very passionate and friendly about their products. Pro tip, bring your own glass to save from buying one for $5.

English tours are seldom available, so I can't speak about them. Tastings are priced per selection and a good set of choices will run about $15. The wines themselves are fairly cheap and some are better than you would expect from the price. The red ice wine is top notch for its genre. The "port" and red blend are acceptable. There is not much in the way of scenery here, so I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but if passing by, stop in and sip.

Back in Magog, we had for a 2nd visit, we had trouble finding this place, due to road construction. Finally found it and when we walked in, there appeared to be nobody around. We finally found staff in the tasting room for a reasonable price, we were able to accomplish some tasting. There was a good variety of wines in this small winery and we were able to purchase what we liked and were soon on our way.
