Nice Intimate Venue - excellent play

We attended a performance of Jake's Gift at the Firehall Theater. This is a small venue that is very flexible in that it is an open space, not a proscenium arch theater. There is on-street parking around the theater, the parking lot they suggest is actually a fair walk. The performance we attended was Festival Seating so there were no... More

Spur of the moment decision to see a play here at this delightful theatre on the river's edge. We saw Driving Miss Daisy and the actors were excellent despite noisy interruptions. During the performance squeaking noises were heard but the actors continued very professionally until the manager stopped the play. There was a baby racoon in the theatre - not... More

We were fortunate to time our mini holiday to the Gananoque area when Julia Mackey was performing at the 1000 Island Playhouse Theatre. The theatre lends itself to a summery atmosphere with the veranda overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Inside, "Jakes' Gift" was the thrill of a lifetime. Hurry to watch Julia (the writer) with her one-woman performance playing Petite... More

We attended the musical romantic comedy "She Loves Me" on a Saturday afternoon at the Springner theatre. This venue is right at the edge of the waterfront and has two large balconies for customers to enjoy the view during intermission. The actors were excellent and deserved their standing ovation at the end. There are 2 venues at the Thousand Islands... More

We were very surprised that we enjoyed the play as much as we did. Acting was exceptional and the music just great. Actors were very talented and, although it was an old theme, they carried it out perfectly. Would go back again

After getting burned at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (bad sound and bad sight lines at $100 a ticket) we were leery of trying another summer theatre production, but when I found a two-for-one coupon in a Brockville tourist brochure we decided to give it a go. What a great experience! The theatre was adequately raked and the seats off-set so... More

We come to this Theatre on an annual visit to catch an afternoon play then we go out for dinner. It's an intimate Theatre where every seat is good. They have a good selections of drinks which are available before and during intermission. The Theatre overlooks the St Lawrence river which is nice to just look out and watch the... More

What a stunning venue and a great re-use of the former paddling club boathouse. Saw "She Loves Me". The cast, live music and house staff were all great.
