Great little trails with lots of points of interest. Trails for the most part are fairly easy to walk for all age groups. Trails could use some up to date color markers. Not sure why their sign at the parking lot says there's no golfers allowed. That caught me off guard and as a golfer made me feel a little left out : )

Scout Valley is a great place to lose yourself in the middle of Orillia.
Well groomed paths take you through mature forests that satisfy all the senses.

These footpaths take you into wooded areas where you will get a good sense of nature. Walkways are both well marked and maintained. There is a parking lot just off of Old Barrie Road but watch out for the various potholes at the entrance way. There is a board posted on the footpath use age plus map of how you can use your exploring time productively. Great way to use your leisure time to relax!

The first time I took my dog here was today February 24. We parked in the lot off Old Barrie Rd near Costco. The first thing I noticed were empty condom wrappers on the ground. As we walked the trail there were piles and piles of dog poop everywhere. Seriously people? You're too lazy to clean up after your dogs? After the walk I went to throw my dogs poop bags in the bin and noticed used condoms all over the ground. Not sure why some people have to be so disgusting and spoil it for everyone else.

Be careful not to get lost, stick to the path and follow the colours! It is a fun trail to explore and easy to be in there for a short trek or a long - whichever you're hoping for! The trails aren't too difficult, but certainly wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility concerns.

Scout's Valley is a great hiking space. It is very beautiful at all times of the year. Some nice climbs as well.

This trail system is larger than you would expect. There are some very stunning little streams and bridges, great for photo opportunities (I’ve seen more than one professional photo shoot staged here). There are other areas that are quite steep. It’s easy to get lost if you aren’t paying attention. There are markings on trees but they can be a bit confusing to follow. You will make it out of here eventually if you make the wrong turns, but you may come out at the opposite entrance (which is frustrating if you are hoping to be done for the day!). If you’re looking for the pretty spots, park at the 15th line entrance, you’ll get there faster. The main entrance starts you off on a hill incline. I wouldn’t recommend a stroller through here, the trail is too precarious for that. It’s a nice trail all around. Challenging with lots of different scenery.

Great spot to soak up some forest time. Watch out for dogs off leash! Watch for trail markers. Get lost in there you’re surrounded by roads , buildings, or houses on all 4 sides you’ll get out also lots of other hikers to ask for directions if you do get turned around.

Nice place. Easy to find. Nice parking lot. Available bathrooms which were clean when we were there.
However the trails are poorly marked. Not everyone is an expert hiker able to understand what a ribbon or painted rock mean.
Plus some part of the trail were very steep and rocky. Beware if you are with young children or people with mobility issue.
