It's a very quaint beach with a lot of amenities, splash pad, walking and picnic areas , marina and lifeguards also free parking. Had a great time we found ourselves returning on 3 days because our Cottage water front was like a swamp so we drove here to relax in the sun. It's a must visit if your in the area especially if you have small children.

What a wonderful waterfront. Just parking and walking around the park lifts your spirits during these Covid times.

We are two seniors who planned a day with family. We chose Lake Couchiching Beach, after many hours researching on Google, only to arrive and be confronted with...we are in "state of emergency" that will be $50.00...go way over yonder to pay...park way over yonder...walk back! What a warm welcome after driving 2 hours from Durham! NOT!!! First thing...we are seniors with "Handicap License" displayed boldly in windowshield. Secondly, NO WHERE ON PARK'S SITE does it say that area is under "STATE OF EMERGENCY"...we maybe seniors but we do listen/watch the news...we are in STAGE 3 and so is Orillia! We are also both diabetic and as lunch time...we needed to eat! Greeter/Supervisor said we could park...have our lunch...wait for other family members to arrive...but...unless comply and fork out $50.00 each car (and then...they would have to park quite a ways "over yonder) otherwise...not welcome! IT WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING, UPSETTING TO WATCH OTHER FAMILIES ENJOY THEIR DAY IN PARK AND WE WERE (INCL. FAM MEMBERS WHO DID NOT COME PREPARED TO PAY) BLINDSIDED AND GAUGED WITH AN OUTRAGEOUS $50.00 TO ENJOY A PEACEFUL, DELIGHTFUL DAY IN A WHATSEEMED LIKE A BEAUTIFUL "ONTARIO" PARK. This was discriminating and prime case of gauging. HAD YOUR SITE INDICATED THIS WAS THE SITUATION DUE TO COVID AND LONG WEEKEND...we would have never shown up on your doorstep!!! Parking restrictions till 7 pm and on weekends, but you can park elsewhere. For good reason they do not want hordes of people. Be discrete , Come at off hours and enjoy a beautiful beach and park. Sailboats, swimmers. sand and swimming. What better.

Lovely shoreline parks for discussion about which trailer to buy as we are upgrading. 2 hours from home so a picnic was in order.
May have to go back one of the contenders is there LOL

The park is very tranquil on a weekday before the mad crush on weekends. This was our first (not the last ) visit to Couchiching Beach park. We had a bbq (bring your own bbq) and a swim at the lovely sand beach.
Change rooms and washrooms are right beside beach. The 2 sinks in the middle were covered up with garbage bags for social distancing. Very clean washrooms. Lots of picnic tables, some are under the picnic shelters. Nice wooden boardwalk too. The snack bar and mini train weren't operating when we visited, maybe due to Covid.
Parking lot is not very large. Get there early for a spot. Disabled parking available close to beach

Always a special place, particularly the boardwalk. Walking on wood instead of asphalt makes the boardwalk resonantly gentle in acoustics. Birds, water, children, seniors, runners, dog walkers - this is a special place for sure.

No open cooking right on the beach, but there are picnic tables all around where you can. There is even a covered gazebo where you can BBQ.
