Older provincial park. Mature trees in all camp sites. I would recommend this park to all ages. Sent a week there and enjoyed it. Washrooms were kept clean

I visited with some friends that stayed here in their RV. They don't take reservations so make sure you arrive early if you want to camp. The water and beach were clean, as was the park.

Great beach to lay around on or swim off of. A little bit of stones, and being lake simcoe, it can be cold. But on a hot day, this is a great place to enjoy the water. The facilities are ok and lots of picnic tables.

We stayed at a site for a weekend at McCrae Point. The sites in the south campground were very nicely placed throughout trees to provide nice cool shade in most areas. The electrical sites for RV’s or trailers do not have septic or water so fill your tanks and be prepared for a dump of black waste. Sadly there are... More

I visited McRae Point with a friend while visiting Orillia. For a park that charges the max (14.50$), it isn't worth it, cottage country or not. While it does have a nice shoreline and children's playground, the entire area is full of goose poop. We attempted to walk the water front trail, which is hard enough to find given that... More

We visited McRae on a day trip and while there is not a lot to do at the park, it's a beautiful quiet area. It is positioned on a point on Lake Simcoe and the views are lovely. The beach is very small - it's not the park you'd visit for that sort of enjoyment. This time of year you... More

We were pleasantly surprised at how pleased we were with our first visit to McRae! The staff were great, esp Megan! The trails were a great walk and bike ride. Swimming in Lake Simcoe is always cold but clear and clean, just as i remembered. A terrific dog beach is on site. A nice park for young children. Returning this... More

Not for the party crowd, good for families. On beautiful Lake Simcoe. Walking or biking trails around the property. Good for walking around Joyland community, little traffic and different views of the Lake. No convenience stores in the area. A few grocery items at Starport Marina. One large beach and park area and a smaller beach area at a smaller... More

We have just returned from our 4th time camping at McRae and each time, we wonder why we travel any further as it is exactly what we look for in a campground. We prefer the North Campground as it is flat, pull through sites, large lots and dotted with trees. Last year, we had a couple of skunks visit the... More

We have come here for day trips a couple of times, and we love it. It is one of the quieter parks that we have been to. The kids have fun playing in the water (it was pretty shallow). There is lots of shade and picnic tables to use. We will be back!!
