About
Bootleg Gap Golf, located in Kimberley British Columbia, is truly a complete golf facility. With 27 outstanding holes, and a stunning location along the St. Mary River. The Championship course at Bootleg Gap is highlighted with the 12th, a dramatic par-3 that swoops down into the hoodoo-lined hillside and is one of the most scenic par-3s in the region. For variety try the Recreational 9; it's a hybrid and fun for every level of player.

- darcy30Winnipeg, Canada12 contributionsBuddies tripWe started traveling to the Kimberley/Cranbrook area on our annual buddies trip in 2015. We have played all the courses in the area. Everyone of us that played Bootleg Gap over the years makes comments after their first round here that the course exceeded their expectations. I couldn't agree more. Look forward to Bootleg every year on our August golf trip. Great variety of holes and always in great shape.Visited August 2019Travelled with friendsWritten February 13, 2020
- SB BrownLundbreck, Canada130 contributionsLovely and challenging courseI played this course twice in the past month with friends and have played it several times over the past few years. I have always loved the variety of terrain it offers and have found it to be a good but fair challenge. The staff and marshals are always very helpful. The greens have been repaired a couple of years ago and are slowly making a comeback but even now they are still quite consistent. Will continue playing and enjoying this course.Visited May 2022Travelled with friendsWritten May 19, 2022
- DickfromSeattle192 contributionsBest Course You Never Heard OfI was referred to this golf course because the more famous track I had hoped to play in this area was closed due to a tournament. I had never heard of Bootleg Gap, but multiple people with whom I played at other courses in Kamloops and in Banff told me I was in for a treat. So apparently, this course has a reputation within golfing circles at least throughout British Columbia. And I was not disappointed. Traditional mountain course with lots of elevation changes, but mostly flat lies. Scenic beauty all around, but the course stands on its own, regardless of the views. The sand in the sand traps is noteworthy: very light, grainy and sugary. If I have to be in a sand trap, let it be at Bootleg Gap.Visited July 2022Written July 11, 2022

Dinner was tasteless, had the prawns with rice and vegetables. Not expensive but still not worth it. Pub and area looked very appealing maybe more effort on flavours can be attained.

A beautiful well maintained golf course.. greens were running well.. enough challenge but generally a fair test of skill... some picturesque holes with lots of elevation changes... would be tough to walk especially in the heat... there is a "recreational 9" which also looks interesting and inexpensive... driving range, putting green and chipping area... full service club house... overall very impressed... good value for a quality course... only negative was a very slow group in front of us ... round took 5 hours to play... the only reason is golfers who simply took way to long over every shot not ready to hit... there was several empty holes in front of them... the marshall appeared to speak to them as the couple behind us complained... no change in behaviour... other couple simply quit on the 14th hole... other than that a great experience

Bootleg Golf Course was a fun experience. We ended up playing there three of our four days in Kimberley! The greens were perfect and the course itself is challenging enough to be interesting but not frustrating. Loved it!

Was here on July 30 for a golf vacation with my dad, and uncle. We played the 9 rec course twice as we played the big 18 last year. Course was very challenging for a small 9 hole. Don’t let the look fool you, you will be tested.

There Aug 1/22 for a day of golf with my dad, and uncle. Staff was very nice and welcoming was able to get our early on the course then our actual tee time.
Course is very nice, and fun to play, the only thing is felt rushed around the course.

Thank you to the Marshall for the day... once he recognized we were new to the course he provided a hole-by-hole booklet. Not that it helped our game! We truly enjoyed the day playing on the immaculate greens and the views were unbelievable. The carts have auto breaking system when going downhills. Clubhouse staff very nice as well.

They lost their greens in 2020 so still mostly in rough shape but a great track nonetheless with a variety of tee options. Great views. Once greens are rolling again it is a must play and I would give it 5 stars. Good value.

Dress code?
Trevor S
Kimberley, Canada
Thank you for your interest in Bootleg Gap Golf. Our dress code is -
- Shirts must be capable of being tucked in. They do not have to have a collar.
- Jeans are fine as long as they are not ripped.
We have a 9 hole recreational course, so our dress code may be a little more relaxed than other facilities.
Cheers,
Trevor
