We were disappointed at what was offered for the price. The tide exhibit wasn't working, the touch pool is just a few items in a separate container of water, and it's a small aquarium overall. It's definitely interesting for a short stop but at the current prices not worth going back more than once.

We arrived just in time for the feeding of the Harbour Seal. It was fun the watch. The staff were very informative.

Very informative! Kids will love it as well as the adults! Touch tanks for the kids👍 A lot to offer in a smaller sized Aquarium!

Many negative changes in recent years but this year they really got us when they said they no longer accept Canadian dollars. If my hard earned Canadian money is not good enough...well I have it all on the beach infront of my house anyway. Sad we will never be back, hopefully they begin accepting Canadian currency since it is in Canada and all..

If you’re not expecting the New England Aquarium, you’ll like it. You can the whole place in an hour or two without rushing. Nice little gift shop. They have some touch tanks, large tanks of local fish, sea lions, etc. It’s a short drive from downtown. Wasn’t too busy on a Saturday.

If you have kids and they're bored and maybe if money is not an option, this is fine for about 45 minutes. Otherwise, I would not bother. The tanks looked dirty. There's not a lot to see. And for what we paid, it was not worth the money.

Good spot to spend an hour if you need to find something to do on a rainy day. This is not a fancy aquarium but for young kids it has all you need. The tanks appeared to need some maintenance but there were some interesting specimens to be seen.

This is a small aquarium, but so we’ll designed and informative. Information about the tides and marine wildlife in the area as well as management programs. Staff is very knowledgeable, but signage is also great for self-guided learning. Our kids and friends are all in early 20s and they loved it - especially the touch tank!
We were there off season and booked a private tour - minimum 5 people required. Give yourself 1.5-2hrs.
We also did the Wine n Weave (also private group booking) - so fun and interesting using the re-purposed fishing ropes. Well worth the cost - what we made sells in the shops in town for more than what we paid for the workshop with wine and snacks.

A good spot to take the kids. They have an open touch tank and someone was there to answer questions and talk to the kids,
A few seals and several other tanks but sure could use more interpretive signs, etc.

We booked a private tour for 4 people (2 adults, 2 teenagers). Our guide was very knowledgeable and welcomed/answered all of our questions. The place is easy to find. Not a huge aquarium but a lot packed into a small space. This may not be for people who are expecting a Ripley's Aquarium experience. This is the real deal - not sensationalism/marketing.

We (two adults) are debating between the Huntsman Aquarium and the Fundy Geologic Museum in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. I'm interested in recommendations from people who have visited both of these sites.

Hi Judy,
As the manager, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the Huntsman Fundy Discovery Aquarium. I am sure you have already checked the Tripavisor reviews, I do do my best to respond to each of them in a timely manner.
Huntsman Marine Science Centre is a private not-for-profit research and educational organization. The Fundy Discovery Aquarium is the public outreach for Huntsman, teaching visitors and students about the east coast marine ecology, and the marine based economy of the beautiful Bay of Fundy. The species in the Aquarium are native to the Bay of Fundy. The Aquarium has underwater viewing tanks and feeding schedules for Salmon, Seahorses and Seals. You can book a guided tour at no extra cost, and afterwards explore the aquarium and enjoy the walking path that leads to the beach. Again, I am happy to answer any questions, please do not hesitate.
Enjoy your travels - wherever they take you :) !!
