Wasted Five Minutes
Aug. 2020
Stop ripping off the public. The place is hard to find, dirty, neglected, and offers very little. Definitely not worth the price of admission. Five minutes and out.

Dissapointed
Sep. 2020 • Family
Very dissapointed. This place should be not charging fees. It is so neglected, clearly nobody cleaned the aquariums for a really long time. Poor fish and poor seals. The seals were very sad and looked unhappy.

Needs an upgrade.

Honestly this is a very tiny and depressing aquarium. You could walk through it in 5 minutes. We spent far more time skipping rocks on the beach. Due to Covid you couldn’t use the touch pond, and the small kids area was closed. They shouldn’t charge more than $2 a head to get into the facility. I knew what to expect before we got there but we had a super pass thing and it included entry to the aquarium which was the only reason why we went. I would not recommend visiting here especially because the only highlight is the touch pond. There are hardly any fish there and the tanks look dirty.

Entire sections closed to the public, probably because management didn't want to employ people to clean and disinfect

Poor value for a full admission price. No large marine species, i.e. sturgeon, salmon, no seals. A few lobster, small sting rays, sea cucumbers, halibut, etc.

an annual stop for us ...always great for the grandchildren ... exciting , educational, and fun... without a doubt, a Must-see in St. andrews... I even took my Grade Six classes there as an End-of-year Excursion

Small aquarium with educational exhibits
Aug. 2020
A nice small aquarium with some fascinating exhibits, but I think I enjoyed the deck with a view across the river while my daughter explored the beach.

Enjoyable family visit!
Jul. 2020 • Family
Very enjoyable visit. Due to COVID-19 the touch tanks are off limits and part of the children's area are off limits.

The seals are absolutely fun to watch.

The staff is super professional and friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have.

The touch tank was still very interesting to view, they had lobsters who were molting their shells.

They also had baby lobsters in a separate tank, so cool to see.

Downstairs they had some very interesting fish in different tanks, wolf eels, salmon ect.

You can even view the seals from downstairs through a looking glass into their tank, or upstairs above water.

The facility is extremely clean, with a very nice gift shop that has books and puzzles, stuffed animals, hats backpacks and small toys and educational items.

I will definitely recommend and definitely return.

We love the Huntsman Aquarium. Due to COVID-19 the touch tanks are for viewing only but the kids still loved it. The seals are always a hit and when the tide is out you can walk down to the beach and explore the sea bed for urchins, star fish, crabs and other sea life.

Loved our visit
Oct. 2019
It was amazing to see seahorses, seals, and other sea creatures up close. There are two huge touch tanks where we got to interact with some of the smaller animals. I appreciated that feeding times are spaced apart so you can see all the animals fed without feeling rushed. The staff were also very helpful and knowledgeable. This is a lovely spot to spend a few hours.
