What an amazing experience. We took a group of 5 scouts and 4 leaders for a 2 1/2 hour tour. We learned a lot of new things, got some great exercise and took some great pictures. My favourite part was the complete black out darkness!

When is the last time you went into the earth? We took a tour with Horne Lake Cave tours and it was epic! We learned, we adventured and we had a chance to think about how short our lives really are in the grand scheme...More

We had the best time on one of the cave tours recently. We chose the One hour main cave tour. Don't think this is easy though....you must be able to get down on all fours, climb up rocks and squeeze through some tight spaces. Completely...More

A great opportunity to see a different part of the island. The cave tour was great, great for kids and all ages, however you will need to be mobile as there is a bit of a walk to get to the cave entrance.

We did the 1 hour tour with 2 kids, 9 and 11, and we had fun. There are many tight squeezes and places you have to duck to get through the small openings. I would not recommend if you are claustrophobic! My kids had a...More

Went on a three-hour tour with Kay-Lynn as our guide last week. I wasn't sure how I would manage because I'm scared of caves (all that rock overhead!) but I loved the experience. We visited three different caves, with a short walk through beautiful coastal...More

I took my 17-year-old granddaughter for a three-hour cave tour in March 2017. It was spectacular-challenging enough to be an accomplishment, safe enough to not feel at risk. Great guide-lots of stories and information to bring the tour to life. Cannot recommend enough!

Have lived on Van Island for 2 years and finally booked a tour through the Horne Lake caves. Our guide was excellent! Spent a lot of time outside describing the geology & how caves are formed, and then asked the group (of 6) what we...More

It's very tight in places. But they told me the two hour tour was more open although I did the one hour which I assumed would be easy and it was NOT! Crouching, squeezing, climbing....barely enough room to get through in... More

Yes the road is a publicly-maintained gravel road. No problem for cars just take it easy on the speed. As summer is peak time around the lake, watch out for oncoming traffic - everything from ATV's to logging trucks share... More
