The "Government Dock Beach" is classically Canadian. We have so many extremely literal places and locations. The Beer Store. The High Falls. The Government Dock Beach. In this case, a little history lesson might be worthwhile. This glorious, roaring stretch of Lake Superior has long...More

It was a pleasant warm day (72f and humid). Locals only beach. Take a walk along the coarse sand and climb up the flat rocks that jut out to lake superior. Be careful with the slippery rocks. There's a secluded inland lagoon where campers pitch...More

Many people were here for camping and kayaking. We came to admire the views and take photos. Very beautiful in places, and at sunset.

This is a beautiful, rocky beach. Worth getting to and relaxing. Wear swim socks as it is very rocky, but beautiful!

Good place to visit, especially if your heading east to Timmins. Good spot to stretch your legs and enjoy scenery/beach. Mining monument is a nice touch.
