Pleasant, long shingle beach that is easy to reach from the car park.
Good picnic area and toilets.
Could be windy. Great views across the channel to the American coast.

Very enjoyable Beach, but bring a warm jacket incase there is a wind. A true West Coast beach. Try to get there for low tide. Great picnic spot attached. Great views and can be done big wave action. Water very cold but kids can play in waves with supervision

Classic west coast beach with rocky shore and lots of driftwood, some surf as well. Beautiful location and excellent picnic area with washrooms and fresh water. Great place to bring the kids and a lunch and spend the day.

Large trees surround many of the campsites. Campground overall has a cozy feel with foliage creating some privacy. Short walk to beach from main parking lot on a path with a bit of slope, but is much easier than some of the other beach trails in the area. Second trail available from the other side of the campground. Highway can be heard and some sites are very close to the road. A couple of sites have partial ocean view but are far away from the beach. You can hear waves crashing from those sites. The BC Parks reservation system says which sites have partial water view. This is a good base for exploring the area. It is about an hour from Port Renfrew and 20 minutes from Sooke.

Park is well managed, garbage is emptied and washrooms are cleaned regularly. Trails are well marked and maintained. Beach is a mix of sand and shingle, water is cool so not great for swimming. All the roads are paved and sites have enough spacing for privacy.

Scenery abounds here. What a great spot for families to spend a day. Photo ops abound so bring a camera and a picnic lunch.

Last time we were here, there was an unrelenting breeze and guess what? It's still there! We came here during the heatwave and you wouldn't have known there was a heat dome over BC -- it was soo windy and cool. This beach is great for contemplative walks (pretty flat) but rocky (lots of smooth round rocks), making driftwood forts, and walking the dog. There is always the sound of waves and on a sunny day, the Olympic Mountain skyline. Campground nearby, picnic tables too, a playground nr the parking lot, and toilets. Plenty of (free) parking. There was a bear sighting posting when we went so be aware.
