Nice car drive

Everyone eared the word Meech lake but have you ever been there? No, we’ll go.
Just for the ride or park and walk, or bbq but just few places.
The road on the side of the lake is ultimately a dead end so you should not have too much traffic. Few very nice cottages, well really some very nice home.
No speed there but a Nice curvy road.

Stunning colors
Oct. 2019
Beautiful and very peaceful place if you are lucky enough to get there early in the morning as it could get very crowded later in the day. The lake is so serene, the fall colors in full bloom are amazing. This is a must visit for hikers, nature lovers and photographers.

Stunning colours mid-October
Oct. 2019
This part of Canada can develop amazing colours in the fall. We were in Ottawa mid-October, and boy were the colours gorgeous that day. Meech Lake is a mix of private and public holdings, so we were a bit confused as to where we could stop. But we got several views of the lake from one of the access roads, as well as from O'Brien Beach. If you have travel plans for this area, try to get out here in mid-October!

Great lake and many hiking trails.
Jul. 2019 • Family
Took my family hiking on our favourite trail. It is called Wolf Trail and is located near parking. Meech lake is close to the trail. Once we finished the hike we can change into our bathing suits and enjoy a nice dip. Parking is a max of 12 dollars. The lake has life guards at the two locations. One location is at the east side of the lake.
Wolf trail is probably not for everyone as there is many up hill parts. My 8 year old son has no issues.

Otherwy you are paying a very hefty fee for parking $12 and don't count on finding another place because its all private land

A really nice beach, well supervised in the summer. Warm water and mostly sandy. Clean water. Can be quite busy and parking lot fills up so come early on weekends

Easy hike, quiet lake
Nov. 2018
There is an eleven mile loop trail that starts off the O'Brien parking lot. A piece is alongside the Trans Canada trail 36. A short hike to the Wilson Carbide Ruins which I took several videos and images. The majority of the hike is shaded by a variety of trees. Many are deciduous with brilliant jewel colors in the Fall. Bring water, wear good shoes, you won't get lost but don't feed Yogi bear.
