The best aircraft collection in eastern Canada, perhaps in the whole of Canada! All aircraft are perfectly maintained, and displayed and expert tours are given by a dedicated team of volunteers. All aircraft are dedicated to airmen, enhancing the presence of the aircraft ever more meaningful!

I was in Canada from the Uk and wanted to visit Vintage Wings. My schedule did not fit their usual tour dates but following an email in advance they were more than accommodating. We were first met by Lucie who then introduced us to Taff. We were shocked (and very pleased) as the first thing he said we were to do was sit in the Spitfire! This is an active aircraft not just a museum piece so that was a wonderful and unexpected opportunity. He was extremely knowledgeable, having had a long career in aviation and explained everything to us. All in all a great visit, there a lot of beautiful historic aircraft there. The adjacent terminal does a great breakfast too.

it was a fantastic show. They have it every year. show, they have a lot of vintage 2nd World War planes flying. They had a Japanese Zero , A spitfire flown by Chris Hatfield, A hurricane plus a P51 Mustang, just unbelievable. A few years ago they had a Lancaster bomber from WW2, there are only 2 left in the world that still fly, one from England and ours from Hamilton Ont. Lots of static aircraft, but the air performances are breath taking

We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to this museum. It was especially interesting to watch people working on the planes as we toured the facility and to learn a bit about what goes into refurbishing the planes. What a wonderful venue for these special planes that hold a key place in our history.

Vintage Wings of Canada is a working aircraft museum located at Gatineau Airport, 12 miles North-East of Ottawa. Located within one of the cleanest and hi-tech aircraft hangars that I have ever seen, the collection of outstanding-well restored and maintained WWII aircraft was breathtaking. Fortunate to have a private tour, and the hangar to ourselves one afternoon, the pride and professionalism of the volunteers was clear to see - not least in those individuals working tirelessly to restore and rebuild historic aircraft, to flying condition, from little more than a small pile of spare parts. Although a little out of the way, this facility is a must for any historic aircraft enthusiast - very many thanks to the excellent staff and volunteers who gave up their time to show around a couple of random Brits!
