We took the Aqua-Taxi on two separate legs as part of a Bike trip around the City. The Aqua Taxi is a short (10 minute) convenient, and scenic water tax that cruises the Ottawa river between 3 points (Locks under the Parliament, Victoria island near the Royal Canadian Navy Monument, Museum of Civilization in Gatineau). It will take bikes and at only $4.50 per person/per leg is very affordable.Nice scenic views and a break from biking. We took it from parliament to Victora Island - watched the kayakers, ate at the Mill Restaurant, biked around some, then took a second leg from Victoria Island to the Museum of Civiliaztion. You press a button on a walkie talkie to call the taxi - and it never took more than 10 minutes. Highly recommend this as an activity. Prefer this to the 2 hour tour on a big boat. Sometimes smaller is better.

We enjoyed an amazing tour aboard the “limo” celebrating my wife’s birthday. Boarded at a small dock just behind the Museum of History with great views of Parliament, Rideau Canal locks into the river, Chateau Laurier and Ottawa skyline. Six adults & four children - we brought drinks & snacks & the captain set up a table for us. The electric boat was perfect - quiet so we could have a conversation without yelling. The Captain knows the area very well and provided interesting facts about the beautiful sights on both sides of the majestic Ottawa river. Highly recommend the taxi and the private tour.

I reserved a 2.5-hour boat ride with Au Feel de l'Eau for my boyfriend's birthday and I would highly recommend it as the perfect, romantic and unique gift for a loved one. Correspondence with Sylvie was effortless and quick. She was well-informed on everything about the boat, supplies, trip length, services, fees and ambiance - made it easy for me to decide to reserve.
We arrived at 5 p.m. for a 5:30 p.m. launch. Sylvie stocked the boat with the four beers I had ordered in advance (you can't bring your own alcohol) and then welcomed us on board. The boat seems brand new and in impeccable shape. The benches are comfortable, the panoramic views are breathtaking, and the boat has all of the amenities you might need for a romantic dinner on the water. A big plus is that it's an electric boat so you silently glide along the water, what a difference.
I had some reservations about having a private dinner in front of Sylvie (she steers from the back, facing us) but her presence is very calm and unassuming. She's an elegant woman who gently pointed out some points of interest along the route. We were more than happy to chat with her but she would certainly respect a client's request for minimal chatter.
We were lucky enough to have a beautiful, warm evening and colourful sunset to admire. Luckily, even if it does rain, the boat has a drop-down, plastic windows that can be zipped up to shield you. It's also heated if your day ends up being colder than expected.
I appreciated being able to bring my own food and Sylvie had some cutlery and plate ware if needed. There was a fridge that wasn't working at the time but she had a cooler for our perishables. The boat has a nice sound system but our iPhone 5 adapter wasn't working with it. Fortunately, we put our phone in a cup holder built into the table and the sound was great.

We had an amazing experience with Sylvie and “Au Feel de l'Eau” celebrating a friend’s birthday as a group of 10. The tour started at the Lac Leamy Casino harbour, went all the way to parliament hill on the Ottawa river and then turned around and headed back to the casino. It lasted from 6:00 pm to about 8:30 pm. The casino has free parking so getting there was no issue. The boat has a roof and plastic flaps on the side that roll up or down, so if it were to be windy or rainy you would be protected from the elements, or free to enjoy the sun! Sylvie was an excellent host and provided some interesting information about the sites we were passing. The boat is very quiet and doesn’t go to fast so it is very peaceful, perfect to take in the stunning views. We even enjoyed a few beverages and made use of the on board bathroom! We have all lived in Ottawa for several years and have never seen parliament hill and the surrounding buildings from the angle of the water, so we had an excellent time being tourists in our own back yard. Great activity!

I was looking for something special to do on Father's Day with visitors from France and family members from Ottawa, total ten adults. We booked the Aqua Limo for a 2.5 hour ride and it was a fabulous afternoon, best decision ever. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, and I have been recommending to all my friends ever since. Some of the many reasons we all loved it: excellent value for the cost; professional service by the owner and captain Sylvie; boat in pristine condition and very confortable; covered boat to protect us from sun or rain; great to be able to order our drinks for a very reasonable price and bringing our own food; electric motor made it a peaceful ride, to enjoy conversation or music, so much better than a gas motor; very handy to take the boat at the Casino because of the free parking and the opportunity to have a brunch before our departure. If you like to be on the water and are looking for something different to do in the capital region, do think of the Aqua Limo!

This is a wonderful way to see the sights of Ottawa and Gatineau from the comfort of a very clean and well equipped water taxi. The route is excellent and the commentary very interesting. Good value!

To celebrate a special wedding anniversary we invited six friends to share a 2 hour ride with us on the electric Duffy boat owned by Au Feel de L'Eau. BES I is docked at the Casino Marina. Look for the sign advertising Croisières as you come down the steps on the right hand side of the Casino building. We carried snacks on board for supper; the boat was beautifully carpeted and furnished with soft leather seats. As soon as Sylvie, the owner, had steered through the narrow channel into Lac Leamy, she let my husband take the wheel and served us the wine we had ordered––glasses, plates and napkins were provided too, with romantic music playing through the speakers. We had brought our own snacks along, but the company will provide a catering service if you want it.
The best thing about the cruise is its quietness, the electric engine being so unobtrusive that all you're aware of is the lapping of the water against the hull. No engine fumes pollute the air.
We paid for two hours on the water, but as their "Facebook Fan of the Month" I was awarded extra time for free. At the end of the voyage down the Ottawa and Gatineau Rivers we had the bonus of a beautiful sunset. Our cruise was relished by everyone on board. Highly recommended.

We rode the aqua taxi from the dock at the museum of Canadian History to the other side of the river by the locks/ parliament building. It was fun to ride and talk to the captain. The boat was very clean, well-maintained, and rode very smoothly in the water. (I’ve been seasick before from other boat rides, but not this one.) It was a very affordable ride, and fun to do with our friends that were with us. The views are great from the water.
He showed us how he can accommodate wheelchairs/strollers. And the boat is completely enclosed so I wouldn’t hesitate to bring small children. The windows open halfway up for fresh air and better views. He said he designed the boats himself and installed the docks he uses.
I don’t know the captain other than our ride this evening, and I received nothing in exchange for this review. I just wanted to write him a nice review because he is a small business doing a great job.
