This place is so much fun for a family day out. Is it worth the price, yes.
Make sure you come On a hot day. The water is refreshing but not freezing.
Food and drink you can bring in just no booze or glass.
Come early to beat the crowds
Pay the extra $$ for the Viking and Dragon rides. A lot of fun.
Free parking.
If you are a family disability you can use your ‘card’ like access2.

DO NOT GO ON THE COLORODO Slide unless you want to get hurt or die ! The rest of the park is good and well organized. Stay away from that slide ! We were traumatized and shocked at that experience.
The Viking was really fun also for us !
Very Alpine outdoors and very scenic definitely worth a visit.

Some rides were great, but some were may I say dangerous. .. Lots of walking for the higher rides. My boyfriend really hurt himself on a couple of them and he's a tuff guy, and I hurt myself also.
Not enough staff paying attention to what is happening in the slides or in the water.

We were visiting family in St. Sauveur and were looking forward to a day at the water park. It happened to be a "construction" holiday (apparently all construction workers get the same day off?) and there were huge crowds. On the Manicougan (sp?) River there were dozens of adults holding onto each other's tubes and creating a giant raft. When the wave machine picked them up, they came down en masse and smashed into my tube and the tube my daughter was on. I hit my head on the wall hard enough to almost black out and my ten-year-old daughter was thrown off her tube and submerged under the aforementioned huge raft of people. I don't know how she did it but my sister-in-law plunged her arm in and managed to snag my daughter by the hair. I pulled her onto my lap and she was of course terrified. I was absolutely livid that the "lifeguards" did nothing to stop this group of adults from forming their huge raft but were quite quick to blow their whistles and yell at me in French that only one person was allowed per tube. Well her tube was nowhere to be seen, presumably still trapped under the giant group. I firmly believe that had my sister-in-law not grabbed my daughter there would very likely have been a drowning that day. I still feel physically sick when I remember. I do not believe that the staff on duty realize the responsibility they hold and the potential consequences of not enforcing safety.

We went on Aug 18,2011, family of 4, the price was great with coupons, the visitors are great, the facilities are old and run down, numerous safety issues, and staff is not the nicest toward visitors.
This water park has been around for quite some time, if we compare to other water parks in the region, its really not up to par.
I had several great concerns, one was the safety issue, being a police officer and former life guard I tend to focus on these matters. Access to the rides were way to dangerous especially for young children, wooden wet stairs with no carpet, rocks and glass on the paths.. Open cliffs on the path to slides, where young children are waiting in line.
There is not a sufficient number of life guards and first responders on site, height requirements and rules not clearly posted. Also the lifeguards on duty were easily distracted, at one point on the main pool 3 of the foor lifeguards monitoring the wave pool were doing other things, and eyes yes eyes were not on the swimmers in the pool, thats what saves lives.
While I was there an visitor hit his head on a slide, and needed to be checked by EMS, it just took way to long for security and first responders to get there and get him out of the park to meet EMS at the pre designated location in the parking lot..
Like we say it was not a coordinated intervention, this is due to lack of training.
The overall attitude of the staff is also something to be noted. Not the most respectful especially towards out of town visitors, who don't speak french.
The toilette facilities are very basic.
The new Alpine mountain ride is great..
Good to spend a low cost day there, but hold on to your kids.
My recommendation, is Super Aqua Club in Pointe Calumet, Valcartier north of Quebec City, or Calypso in near ottawa.

They closed down a lot of the fun slides not more suited for family with young kids. Staff not friendly at all maybe because they were hoping for a day off since it was a cloudy day with a few showers. They decided to close earlier (at 5 instead of 7) and we were only advised 15 min before the closing time. Most of the food stands were closed. We do not recommend this place, it is too bad it used to be fun.

My family visited yesterday (August 5th, 2014). We were in town by Sunday, and drove by the park both Sunday and Monday and saw huge lineups. So we opted to try yesterday, because there was a chance of rain and we definitely made the right decision. The crowds were much lighter than the previous two days which made for a much more enjoyable experience. We were basically able to walk on all the rides.
Things to be aware of, the pathways are very hard on the feet. Even if you wear flip flops and leave them at the bottom of the ride, the paths up the hills are hard on the feet too, so it doesn't save them much. We ended up buying water shoes in the gift shop (reasonably priced) at lunchtime and it was much more enjoyable. I could only imagine if the paths had been hot and coarse (it was a cloudy day so they were not hot too).
Be aware you can buy lunch in the cafeteria which is upstairs, inside by the main entrance. There are some booths outside where you can buy food, but there is much more selection inside, and we didn't realize it was even open.
Don't be afraid to check out the gift shop. We got our kids t-shirts for $5.99, a key chain for 99 cents, and the water shoes we bought were only $13 for adults and $10 for kids.
As for the rides themselves, our favorites were the slides you had to take the chairlift to the top to ride. They are water slides we have never experienced at any other water park in the world. What amazing scenery, and it is so enjoyable to be able to slide down for 20 minutes! However, when we went right at the beginning of the day, and later when it was raining, it was a lot more fun going down without a big crowd of people. When we went in the middle of the day and it was a bit busier, it was harder to make it from slide to slide, as the basins got crowded. It intimidated by 10 year old daughter a bit as she was worried we would get separated.
We did find the height measurements a little inconsistent. My 10 year old was way over the measuring stick at the bottom of the chair lift, but had a good couple of inches to go when she wanted to go in the activity pool area. She was turned away at the top of the Colorado ride, but when we measured her again at the bottom she appeared to be way over it. My daughter was a little bit unsure about the Colorado so we didn't fight it, but it was frustrating. All of those height measurements should have been the same (1 m, 40).
The Niagara is a really fun ride but a long trek up! It is like a normal tube water slide you would find at any water park, but it is so much longer! And the view is so beautiful.
My kids really liked the green tube slides and the twisters. The nice thing about the twisters is that they seemed to allow little kids to go on the laps of their parents which is nice, because in most other water parks, young kids would have to miss out on a ride like that.
My younger daughter loved the little tube river, don't miss out on that! She went to the other kiddie area but found those 5 slides to barely move at all. She had to push herself to get to the bottom. This might, however, be nice for a very young child (2-3 years), so don't be afraid to put them down.
Wow, those torrents are AMAZING! What a smooth and fast ride. We loved that one.
The Manic is unlike anything we'd ever been on. There is one place where the waves come out of the machine that to be honest is a bit dangerous. My seven year old can swim, but is not a strong swimmer and was almost knocked out of her tube there. If she had fallen out it would have been a bit of a situation as the current is very strong there. However, it didn't stop us from going around many times, we just watched her carefully, and if you have a non strong swimmer with you, you may want to consider them having life jacket on the ride, even if it is not mandatory. The wave pool is pretty standard. The normal lazy river is fun, but to be honest we found that water colder than the rest of the pools/slides for some reason.
We did really enjoy the temperature of the water. It made it so enjoyable to not be freezing when in the water. Especially on the ones you were in for a long time like the ones you had to take the chairlift up to. I was expecting the pool/spa hot tub to be warmer. It was warmer than the rest of the pools, but not enough to really warm you up if you were chilled. I wish the lazy river was warmer too. Not too many people were using it that day because it was not super hot out.
The park has beaver tails which is a nice treat!
My kids went on a couple of the kiddie rides in the Parc Fun section and it is nice they can go on in a bathing suit, but it is nothing too exciting and pretty standard rides.
We did take a ride on the viking which was amazing. What a great view from the top, and it feels like you are going up and up and up forever. We would have liked to have taken another ride, but even at the discounted price we paid ($6 per ride) it was still a bit too expensive.
The park has lockers, but we just parked close to the entrance and went back to our car at lunch to get our wallets and towels.
Parking is free :) That is definitely appreciated.
Regardless, we had an amazing time at the park and are already planning to come back again next year or the year after. I don't think it would have been as enjoyable though if we'd gone on Sunday or Monday because those lines were HUGE.
This place is unlike any other water park you will ever go to and it is worth it just for the scenery.
Oh, and one other thing, we are English speaking only. We did find that most signage was both French and English, and every staff member we encountered was able to speak English with us, if not fluently, at least a good attempt. However, we did find on more than one occasion, announcements were made in the park over loudspeakers or at an attraction, in French only. It seems they do have lots of English speaking staff so I would recommend they do announcements in both languages. That being said, we did come across a lot more people speaking French than we did English.
Oh and last advice, if someone who works there is reading, we were looking for a magnet to bring home for a souvenir and could not find any in the gift shop!
Regardless, it was a great park and we had a great time and can't wait to go back. I'm proud to be Canadian and have this park in our beautiful country. What a great place :)
We also enjoyed the Acro-Nature attraction and stayed in the Morin Heights cabins but I will review those separately. (Also great reviews though :) )

We've been here five times and we can't wait to go again. The Mont Saint-Sauveur Parc Aquatique is known for being the biggest water park in a mountain setting. Our favorite slides were: The Colorado river, The Niagara, The Rivière Rouge, The Rivière du Nord, The Blizzard, The "Grandes Cascades" river and The Manic. If you want to relax there is a lazy river and a Pool-spa. For young children there is the Frisson, the Mini Splash, and the Children's Island. There is even an amusement park in the water park. We also suggest that visit this fun attraction on a warm and sunny day so you can do all the slides.

I think my family liked this more than I did, but I prefer the other park we usually go to.
I don't think that there are enough lifeguards at the wave pool.
You have to wear a helmet on 2 rides -- the Colorado River and the Grands Cascades river. I was never so scard in my life as I was on that Colorado River. It was very rough and dangerous. If you were to capsize off your tube, you would be seriously hurt. My older son wanted to ride again and I would not let him. I have never forbidden him to ride any water park or amusement park ride anywhere before -- that's how dangerous I think it is.
I also found the Grands Cascades needlessy rough. The Grand Remous is the same ride, but more tame and fun as is. But then again, they need more lifeguards at the various pools along the way to help people who are stuck or may have fallen off their tube.
I didn't like that there was no family raft ride -- all the rides are for 1 or 2 people.
The Spa Pool was very warm and nice if you were feeling a bit chilled. The Lazy River was the laziest river I've ever been on. I kept just getting stuck and not moving anywhere.
The other rides were fun.
The food was average and somewhat expensive, but typical what you pay at these places.

We had a great day here with my two kids and some of their friends, last Sunday in +30 degrees weather. The park is very well appointed, with many tables and green areas to set camp for the day. Most rides are not too hard core (for my taste), except the "Colorado", where my 15 year old son and his friend got a few scratches and bruises.
Also note that, in spite of having carpets in some walkways, most of them are asphalt. So on hot sunny days they become too hot for comfort. At noon, everyone was running for the grass not to get burned feet. It's best to bring beach shoes or a pair of cheap sandals you leave at the end of the ride. The park should do something for this.

I'm quite sure they accept all forms of credit cards. Go to their website and try a sample ticket purchase. You can cancel before actually passing any transactions. I'm actually planning another visit this year. Hope that helps.
