My family was just at your zip line place last week. I make a claim an issue that happened during our time there. An still waiting for reply 4 months already since then... I was not aware on what was happening until my kids were done at the zip line, my family and I are shocked and disappointed by the way my daughter was treated during their time there. My daughter explained this to us: “ At first we were learning how to ride a zip line since this was everyone’s FIRST time on a zip line. The male guide with long hair was helping us out at first and after we were done the tutorial he told us to ‘take our time on the zip lines and go at your own pace’ once we got to the actual zip lines everything went OK in the first and second zip line. Onto the third one a female guide was there watching us, I went down the zip line and I got stuck trying to get onto the other platform, I started doing the technique to get onto the platform, not even 30 seconds later the female guide from the other side of the platform was yelling at me to ‘get onto platform’ but since we were so far away from each other I couldn’t understand half of the things she was trying to tell me, I didn’t know if she was saying “stay there” or “get up” confused, I stayed where I was because i didn’t understand her. She came down and pushed me up onto the platform and told me and if It takes me this long to get onto a platform she was going to have to kick me off the zip lines, so she did, she kicked me off the zip lines because I Was causing ‘traffic’ to the other people behind me. She unclipped me from the wires and I followed her down the hill to try to get down. I could tell she was annoyed with me, once we reached another platform she told me to “follow the dirt path to reach the bottom of the zip line” and she left me there. the path was very faint but I did what she told me, 2 mins later there was no more path. I was lost. I stayed where I was for 5 minutes hoping someone would find me. The female guide found me again and asked me with a rude tone and attitude, what I was doing and I told her there was I couldn’t find the path anymore. She laughed in my face and told me “ sorry I forgot to tell you there was no path after” I was shocked. How did she let me go here by myself if she knew there wasn’t going to be a path anymore? Especially in the woods? She then guided me all the way back down and I waited for my family members to finish. “ This was our daughters FIRST time on a zipline. It was everyone’s first time. She did what the male guide told her to do, to take her time. But the female guide didn’t seem to like what she was doing and was treating her like she was a professional zip liner. she was taking her time trying to get onto the platform just like they told her it would be OK to do. There was no need for my daughter to be treated this way she is not a professional zip liner. There was absolutely no need to let her find her own way down as well. As a guide you HELP them reach the bottom safely the gamble guide left her there to figure out her own way back down. We are shocked and disturbed on how your female guide treated my daughter, with such little respect all from just taking a little longer to reach the platform. On that note, I would like a full refund for my daughter. She did two zip lines and then got kicked off from the third one from the female guide. She waited almost 30 minutes for our family to all come down. My daughter does not remember the female guides name. But I’m sure you can find out who it was by checking your schedule for that day. Thursday August 20th @ 11am

Sorry that I took a bit of time to look into this, but we were very concerned by your comments and did alot of back and forth with the head guide about his staff and the handling of the group that day. Even today the only thing we are sure of is that there was a real language and communication barrier, and the course was probably beyond your abilities, AND that this is definitely not the kind of experience we aim to give. We have taken steps with him to ensure this does not happen again. Aside from that, we have modified our description to make it clear that the activity requires physical exertion. We have also made it clear that guides are patrolling on the ground, not up in the trees with you, as it is a continuous life-line system.

Jonathon our guide was outstanding. He reviewed health and safety rules with us and explained the process. Along the trail we stopped a number of times to see moose tracks, a beaver dam and information on the area. It is evident that Jonathon takes great pride in his work and his region. The value for dollar on this experience is well worth it. We are coming back this winter to try winter dune buggy.

So happy you enjoyed it. So often a great guide "makes" the experience. I will pass on the comment.

My wife and I have zip lined in Hawaii, Roatan, the Caribbean and thought that this would be a similar experience. There were a total of 10 participants on this zip line of 18 lines. We were given brief initial instructions and then hiked about 15 minutes through a very rugged path crossing streams etc. before reaching the first line. First danger: There should be a very thorough review of health as well as proper footwear required for this type of hike. The instructor showed each participant how to connect to the test line; how to brake and how to move their carbanour through the guide wire. He then sent the first family through and then my wife and I. That was the last time we saw the one and only guide that was up in this dense remote wooded area. My wife seriously injured her leg when attempting a landing on one of the platforms. We were only about halfway through the course. There was no sign of the family behind us, and the family in front of us was long gone. The family behind us had a younger son, and was struggling with the first line, and we believe that the instructor was with that family. We struggled through the remaining zip lines, then had to hike down to the entrance area. There wasn’t a single person waiting at the end of the course. At very minimum, there should have been two guides on this tour. One in front and one behind to ensure that all riders safely went through the course. This is the first and only time I’ve ever experienced a single guide with such a large group. Although it was a beautiful setting, we definitely did not enjoy the experience and are just thankful we were able to get out safely and return to civilization. This is way out from Tremblant; about 45 minutes on rough roads around a lake. Mont Tremblant Activity Centre needs to investigate why there is not proper safety at an activity they arrange and promote.

Thanks very much for letting us know. We're very sorry that you had trouble on the course. We have looked into it to explain the situation. There were 2 guides with you, but since your family did really well on the practice course, had done ziplines before, and asked to go first as you were in a rush because you had restaurant reservations, our guides let you go first. Our guides were with slower guests never caught back up to you. I would add that since our course is "continuous lifeline"(no way to unclip or get off the course), and relatively small with only 16 zips, it is unusual for participants and guides not to catch up to each other. We have passed your comments on to our head guide to ensure this is avoided in the future.

We made reservations online for our family vacation. We were told a confirmation email would follow. When none did we wrote them and then called them to be told that the website was not connected with the office reservations and that they needed to process our request individually, which they did but forgot to write us. The activity was canceled and we were disappointed as it was the family highlight!

This seems very unusual. We will look into it and get back to you as soon as we can. ----- We have looked into all our zipline reservations through Tripadvisor and none match the circumstances described. Please contact us so we can get to the bottom of it and make amends.
